Wild turn of events on my last post
This is Chicken, Mr. Chicken is the House manager of my home and is babied 95% of his day. He gets transported from place to place when he doesnt want to be around dogs. He eats churu almost every day, sleeps in every window and PLAYS rough with his mom and other pets. Chicken is NOT abused, Chicken loves to rough house and we have been playing in this manner for YEARS and he remains the sweetest, orangest man in the land. Not pictured was us running through the house and him smushing in my arms not even 10 mins later. Take it easy y’all. Take a break. He is in good hands. 🥹🙄
Rage baiting the orange is a requirement in this house
Gel X is my thing
I got a dip on my regular nails last month and was just meh about it. I was camping and gardening and was worried about the tip. But the grow out and weakness of the nails after was WILD. I forgot thats why I don’t like dip. Back to Gel X in my signature style!
We lost a real one today (in mourning)
I no longer like my favorite Red Bull. Got to work and cracked her open to find her impossible to stomach. I loved this Red Bull… today is a sad day. I have offically had…TOO MANY. Rip. Please join me in mourning by commenting a rose to throw on its grave 😭😭😔😔
The branch manager
Goose has started collecting sticks on his walks, but he’s not good at holding them.
I am heart broken
Got fauxlocs for a trip to Mexico. I haven’t had braids in over 20 years. I was told they were a protective style and my hair might even grow under them. However…they were immediately an issue, too tight, tension issues, and just overall weight. The girl that did them was 17 (found out during my appt) and used the cheapest of products and hair. After about 2 weeks I was finally able to enjoy them for a bit. Until yesterday; when it was time to take them out. I went to a Nigerian salon after calling around and being told people didn’t know how to take them down. The locs come off with minimal issue. Then it’s time to take the braids down. They’re of course tangled at each base. After explaining to the lady multiple times that my hair is naturally curly, she continued to dry detangle it after each braid. I watched her break off my hair piece by piece with not much I could do about it. She said it would be worse if she put something in it. Which is not true. I have lost over 50% of my hair due to this and I am emotionally reeling over it. I will never do this again. I feel like so often, us natural curly haired people get screwed.
I usually have full routine, use pureology smooth perfection, 21 by pureology and the doux C. R. E. A. M. I went in with the softest nicest curls and came out with 5 pieices of hair left.
