genuine question, what is with all the 8 hate i see? I think its a really solid album and I love listening to it. Sure people have their own opinon but it seems like literally everyone here hates 8. Is there something im just missing about it?
This is a concept I came up with where Incubus didn't change nearly as much as they did in real life.
I basically just gave A Crow Left of the Murder and Light Grenades new cover art that I think fits better with the rest of the albums while still being distinct. I also changed 8 to just be a self titled album, which is a better idea in my opinion. I also added Trust Fall as an album, combining side A and B EPs. I'd imagine some songs from Side A were included on 8/the new self titled album and some from 8 were instead on Trust Fall.
I would make a cover for Something In The Water but I think its best left to Incubus for when the time comes (if ever...)
Also, unrelated, Has anyone else noticed how weirdly similar the promo bridge projection for Something in the Water looked like the Nirvana-Nevermind logo? and Something in the Water sounds a lot like Something in the Way, which is from Nevermind. Just random thought.
Ive had this sanyo for 2 years, but whoever had it before me used it to death. I got it repaired and the repair guy said almost every part in it was so worn down it probably wont last much longer. I used this this almost every day for those two years i had it, a month or so ago it started making grinding sounds. Today it stopped working altogether. I tried reviving it but its dead. Rest In Peace my Sanyo M-G15A. I loved this thing.
So, what are some good replacements I can get? I have a WeAreRewind player ive been using in the meantime, but i want something better.
I don't hate any of these albums, they're all good albums in their own unique ways. Accelerate is my favorite album overall as I love the harder rock style they went with for this. My favorite R.E.M. song is "Leave" from New Adventures in Hi-Fi, but the rest of the album is just ok IMO. If it didnt have Leave it would be lower on the list most likely just after Collapse Into Now.

I bought a second hand tape that is a live recording of an R.E.M. concert, the label claimed October 2nd, 1984, in New Orleans. But a quick look on setlist fm proved that to be incorrect. I tried identifying all the songs in order on the tape but couldnt recognize some of them. Any one have any ideas what concert this actually was?
