On this day in 1975, all members of Queen attended Led Zeppelin’s show at Earl’s Court, two years before they themselves would perform there.

Actually a new fact to me, that I did not know about. On the 18th of May in 1975, all four members attended Led Zeppelin’s famous show at Earl’s court. Two of the most legendary bands meeting in a way that I did not know about. Freddie hugely adored Plant and mentioned a lot of times that Plant was his favourite vocalist, just to think that 16 years later Plant would play with Brian, Roger, and Deacy at Freddie’s tribute concert.

Yeh I know this is not exactly that much Queen related, but thought it was a very cool bit of history of two of my favourite bands (well Queen is number 1 followed by Zep) meeting when one was at it’s peak, while the other was on it’s rise

On this day in 1978, Queen played the last show of the News of the World Tour, at Empire Pool in London.

This show sadly features the last performances of many tracks that had a great run with their live performances, namely:
-White Queen
-White Man
-The Prophet’s Song
Along with others like Good Old fashioned lover boy, The Millionaire Waltz, and my Melancholy Blues.

However, that does not make this show any worse than the rest of the tour, and dare I say it’s one of my favourites from this tour. The finale of White Queen’s live saga is a great way to end, but it is the only time Freddie performed this song live not wearing white 😱

The final performance of White Man is as powerful as ever, really making you feel a sort of presence with Freddie’s Thundeous voice, being followed by the last performance of the Prophet’s song, which is just as classy and clean as the rest of the tour.

Goodbye White Queen, you will be missed 🥲

I enjoyed my First BTCC weekend a ton! (Pictures from Sunday)

I have quite a few more images but anyways, I underestimated how much fun attending a BTCC race would be. I never even watched BTCC before, but like attending Motorsport events around the UK (have been to BRX and BSB before at Lydden Hill and Snetterton respectively), so thought I would finally see what all this BTCC hype is all about. I enjoyed it a ton and I managed to get 8 signatures on my AR Box 992 (last picture). The atmosphere is amazing and seeing them go around Brands Hatch Indy (one of my favourite tracks in AC), was insane with seeing all the elevation changes IRL. Thanks a lot to everyone who participated and let me know how your weekend went. I also had to head back home early because I’m busy, but I’m sure I’ll be returning to a BTCC race in no time when the weather gets better.

WIP Post #1 - Nameless West German Heavy Tank

This is for a competition me and my friend are doing. The prompt was 'What if West Germany developed E series tanks to become Early form MBT's?', and came along with a specification of weight, size etc. This is my hull so far. Inspiration has been taken from early Leopard prototypes, E-75, E-50 and Centurion Prototypes. Any ideas what to add? Obviously it's not done, as the Hull needs some more details (and obviously a turret on top), but any specific things to add? Any Critique would be appreciated :)

Best track view for general admission ticket holders?

I’m heading out to Brands Hatch this Sunday for my first ever BTCC race, and am wondering where to view the racing from. I want to dress much as possible, and I don’t mind if I have to stand the whole day if there is no space to put out a chair, I just want to see as much action as I can. Hope this post helps those attending too :)

’I want it all’ reached No.3 in charts, and it was also the first time that Queen put out vinyl and CD single formats. A legendary powerful song with a great music video.

Probably one of, if not the best show from this tour. Great vocals from Freddie, nailing a lot of those notes that he was not able to in some earlier shows. Brian’s guitar work is absolutely stunning, and dare I say perfect. The drumming work is on point, as was the case in most of this tour, and Roger’s falsettos are absolutely nailed by him. John’s bass playing adds to the performance of Liar so much that I view it as the best ever.

Sadly, this was the show we lost In the Lap of the Gods, along with the last full performance of Great King Rat, only returning as snippets throughout their later tours

The album was released on this day in 1985 in the UK and Europe. The album is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but I find it to be interesting with some stand out songs.

It’s Lindberg’s 1/8th of an inch = a foot (1/96th scale for simpler terms) Handley Page Victor. I have been in love with the Victor ever since seeing it IRL a few years back, but never could find an excuse to get the Airfix one, so being at Hannants London yesterday seeing that a ton of second-hand kits had came in, I decided to get this thing. Obviously everyone there called me brave, and I will probably encounter multiple massive issues, but as I discussed at the shop, it’ll make me admire how far modelling has come since the release of this kit. Forgot to mention it, but it’s the 1975 boxing of the 1959 tool, which is ancient for me, as someone who’s grandparents are barely older than this tool. What’s the oldest tool you’ve ever encountered?
