World app/wiki

Out of curiosity, has anyone made their own wiki style app or website for other people to be able to dive into the lore of their world quickly without needing to read through a book? I world build primarily for my TTRPG campaigns and my hopeful passion project of my novel series.

But I’m looking for advice on an easy way to share my world with my players that they can search quickly and find connections etc on the fly In or out of session, instead of having to read a long pdf etc.

I’m not sure if this is a thing or not, but if it is, I would love to hear what you did and any advice you have!

VTT Stress

Hey y’all I have been running a long term game and currently have “most” of the ToV options on foundry… but I’m noticing not a lot of support for the system on Foundry and it really bums me out that we still don’t have PG2 and other stuff like Book of Blades so I am starting to look for other options… the main ones I see are shard and fantasy grounds.. I guess I’m looking for some advice either way.

I’m looking for a VTT that is easy to manage as a GM
Easy for my players to use
Looks good as I want to stream my games still
Options for “mods” quality of life stuff and fun stuff like making the screen and players stuff look like baldur’s gate or other CRPGs (most requested feature from one of my newer players)

As a GM I run almost exclusively homebrew campaigns and ease of creating homebrew items/spells etc is huge for me.

A minor factor is cost effectiveness. I really don’t want to have to pay a monthly fee or anything like that to run my games.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
