Just finished my latest ToneX project, the Wiz V2 Capture Pack, based on my Wizard Modern Classic II.

This amp is kind of ridiculous in the best way. Huge low end, aggressive mids, tons of definition, and it stays remarkably clear when the gain gets pushed.

I ended up with 24 V2 ToneX captures, including studio captures through my 4x12 loaded with Creamback M65 + H75 speakers in an X-pattern, plus DI captures for anyone who prefers using their own IRs/cabs.

I also put up two free samples, one 4x12 and one DI, so you can actually try the captures before spending anything.

The Wiz Cortex Capture Pack includes 24 professional V2 captures, covering low, medium, and high-gain settings. The studio captures use a 4x12 loaded with Creamback M65 and H75 speakers in an X-pattern, and the pack also includes complete DI captures for use with your own IRs or cabinet captures.

The amp has a huge, tight low end, strong midrange punch, and plenty of clarity even when the gain gets cooking. It is especially good for big rhythm sounds and articulate lead tones.

I spent some time creating Proxy Clones from a Wizard Modern Classic II and thought I’d share a couple of free ones for anyone interested in trying them.

The studio version was created through a 4x12 loaded with two Celestion G12M-65 Creambacks and two G12H-75 Creambacks in an X-pattern. I also included a full DI version for anyone who prefers using their own cab or IR.

I just finished a new BC Lynx X V2 Proxy Clone Pack for the Line 6 Proxy workflow.

The full pack includes 18 professional V2 Proxy Clones created from a BadCat Lynx X amp, with studio versions through a BadCat 4x12 and full DI clones for pairing with your own cab or IR.

The Lynx X has a really muscular, aggressive voice, but it still keeps plenty of clarity and pick response when the gain comes up. I tried to capture that punch and detail across the pack rather than making every clone feel like a variation of the same setting.

I’ve been working on some Helix Stadium Proxy Clones based on a Dr. Z Z Wreck and uploaded one of the 1x12 versions to CustomTone for anyone who would like to try it.

The amp has a really lively response and works especially well for clean, pushed-clean and edge-of-breakup sounds. It also reacts nicely to picking strength and guitar-volume changes.
