Unladen, It's an absolute cheat code and it climbs the most absurd stuff, and the risk of tipping is so minimal because the AWS allows you to place the car exactly where you want. The only mod I've made is putting in a 1s 2200mah battery which also helped increased weight in the front. I think the real fun with this thing is loading it up and making it top heavy and seeing if you can use AWS to balance your way to the top. The perfect backup rig to have when you're constantly breaking your other 1/24 car 😂
Hey all, I've got a Terranaut coming in the mail. I've currently got a Meus ME8B transmitter. I'd love to stay in the Meus ecosystem if possible, but it kinda seems like their receivers don't support 8 wheel steer (only 4 wheel steer). Just wanted to double check that assumption with you all, since in theory I assume I could connect multiple servo's to a single channel, but I also assume that would overload the channel somehow (or generally be not recommended for some reason).
Anybody have a transmitter/receiver combo they really like for the Terranaut?
Just trying to add to the pool of lacking information on the FCX24M's and share a photo of this monster.
Upgrades top to bottom chronologically (1 being first mod made).
Just a cheeky update on life with the ADV 160 🤣. Thing is an absolute tractor and I love it. Did not love my local dealership quoting me $240 to change the oil, which I then did myself for $28 (including buying a funnel lol). Have a great week y’all.
Hi all, brand new to the community/hobby and just had to share because I'm floored by how much fun these things are! Just installed a bigger battery, steel driveshafts, and Injora crawling LED's. Last night was so cool crawling in the rain!
The front two LED's are mounted using the same screws that attach the bull bar to the bumper (they seem to be long enough to hold both, and far back enough to not ruin approach angle). Stock shocks are in their highest position as well.
Just so, so cool! Working on getting weight down low to reduce rollover tendencies, and open to suggestions :)
