A few months ago I was very close to getting my first bike (Monkey 125), wife was okay with it. But then a change of heart and it's like a taboo to mention it in the house.

All i hear for her and now others is stories about people they know who had an accident and lost their leg, broke their spine, got their head cut clean off.......etc.

I understand the worry, and obviously with kids, if anything does go wrong.....its not me who is affected.

Its not like im going to go 100mph down a road, (but you can die at 40mph, its not you its other drivers). All valid points. But interested to know how you convinced the other half?

As the title says.

Last season I scored just shy of 900 runs in our season (18 games). Over winter i had some training, however this season I am struggling to score. At first I thought it was a blip, but 9 games in I have managed to score a total of 23 runs.

When I am batting, I seem to react very slowly, can't hit any front footed shots. Eg my last game I scored 3 runs of 27 balls.

People that did their CBT, did you buy your own gear for the day of did you borrow from the school?

I've heard some disgusting stories of some of the equipment. It can't all be that bad right?

How hard did you negotiate when you bought your monkey brand new. The price now is £4199, I have seen some places go as low as £3999. Did you guys get better deals and if so how?

I was reading some reviews on the Motocap website of some the jeans or tops I wanted to buy. I was quite shocked that jeans that state they are AAA don't perform very well compared to other AAA jeans, even some tops - especially the John Doe equipment (Their AAA jeans and Motoshirts - both got 1 star)

I would be quite interested to see if there was a UK or European version that does safety reviews on brands we know on this side of the Atlantic.

I want to be safe as possible but but not look over the top. For a 125cc is leather over the top also, how do triple AAA jeans compare to leather pants?
