The FDNY pulled up (i assumed because of the downed trees on Clinton near Degraw) turns out they put the sprinkler cap on the hydrant near Poppy’s - come and enjoy the cool water while it’s still on! (This was around 10:45 am today)

It was most probably dropped there while running to catch a train. Holla if you found it.
