Who is this man?

I happened to come upon this man behind the undertaker's building in Rhodes.

He was walking around and then opening his journal and making notes.

I've never seen him before or observed an NPC doing this.

Any ideas?

Prerequisite:

This can only happen in Chapter 4 immediately before playing the mission "Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor". The mission where the gang gets Jack back and have a party afterwards.

Make sure autosave is on/enabled.

Step 1: Enable any cheats you want.

For example, I used "You Want Something New"(the war horse cheat will not work until the Epilogue.)to spawn the Iron Grey Roan Ardennes, which is usually only available to those who pre-ordered RDR2.

(Just keep activating the code until you get whatever horse you want. It probably took around 35-40 tries to get the Ardennes, but it's completely random, as in the video I've included, they get it on their 2nd try.)

This applies to any cheat in the game. Money, outfits, horses, etc.

Step 2: If you got a horse, saddle it to make it your main horse. Regardless, now go do the mission as normal.

After the mission, you'll ride back to Shady Belle. There will be a brief cutscene upon arrival and then the party begins.

Step 3: Go to Story - Load Game and load your current autosave. It will say "Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor" with a very recent timestamp. It will load you pretty much exactly how you just were at camp.

Step 4: Go to your room and sleep. When you wake up, you will now be able to manually save. Save your game.

Now the cheats are permanent.

This will not affect getting 100%, however, I'm not sure if it can/does affect earning trophies. So, if trophies are important to you and/or you're doing a Platinum run, I would do further research into this exploit before trying it.

Here is a helpful video if any of my instructors were unclear/you want a source:

I thought this could be a hub for glitches/exploits/cheats to getting horses earlier than you're usually able to/are behind chapter locks/behind pre-order locks/behind Special or Ultimate Edition locks.

Please give detailed steps and/or links to videos showing detailed steps to getting each horse.

Also, if a method has been patched, please let that be known.

i.e. the Bronte cheat/autosave exploit, the dead Missouri Fox Trotter exploit, Cerberus exploit, etc.

Pictured: Iron Grey Roan Ardennes. I plan to use the Bronte cheat + autosave exploit when I get to Chapter 4 to get this horse, as Ardennes are my favorite horses in the game.

I just read someone's theory:

"The spider mystery is actually a Dream Quest/vision quest (aka, the RED ROAD). And is actually a trail that leads to GTA 5.

Take pictures in RDR2. Mirror the pictures in GTA 5.

Just like the Episolon logs tell us how to do it!"

Thoughts?

Mine are a tie for Bandit & Sharpshooter.

Bandit when I want my Arthur all in black, and Sharpshooter any other time.

What's your favorite(s)? Do you mix and match?

EDIT: Not my photo.
