I got to meet former Onosho again today!
No matter how many times I meet him, he is always such a kind and wonderful person. ✨

Handprints of former Yokozuna, I saw this at Chanko Chiyonofuji! It's amazing!!!

I went, as a guest of Yabusoba-san (pink shirt, consent given!), to Chanko Chiyonofuji in Sumida City. The setting, food, atmosphere and our host were amazing. If you like sumo you should go.

New Sumo Gachapon exclusively available from the Kokugikan. I added English descriptions to pictures. Last picture shows some of the items I got during my visit to the basho in May. I show the items I got in a video link below.

I went to Chanko Chiyonofuji, a traditional restaurant with a sumo theme. Owned and run by the legendary sumo Yokozuna Chiyonofuji's widow, in the former stable of Kokonoe in Sumida City, converted into a restaurant, Chanko Chiyonofuji, named in honour of the late grand champion.

I run a Sumo fan YouTube channel and have a video of the whole experience. I didn't post it here though as some of the video is about the sumo things to see in the restaurant and not just food, and I'm new here and don't want to break any rule. I heard it was taking place near a friend’s house in Hokkaido, so I told them, "You should go check it out!". And they actually went! 😆

Back in our student days,that friend and I used to go to the Sapporo sumo tours together.

The fifth photo is from 1988. I’m in the middle and my friend is on the right. A stranger suddenly wandered into the frame on the left, which gave us a good laugh,
but in the back on the left is the former stablemaster Otake (currently Stablemaster Kumagaya). Back then, he was known as Ooryu. He was a fun guy and a sumo wrestler I really loved. 😆

Dewanosu and Saganobori were also incredibly kind, they were absolute legends when it came to fan interaction. ✨️

It was last day of training for the Sumo Training School before the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament, so I went with my good friend Noir to the Ryogoku Kokugikan to wait for the new recruits to come out 😄

And then, lo and behold, Fujiryoga-zeki appeared!! ️
I was so happy! 😆

And finally, we went to ex-Tochinoshin's restaurant 🇬🇪✨️
It was amazing.
