My 6 month old Aussie finally slept through the night 😭!!

For the first time, I wasn't woken up at 12am, 3am and 5am. I slept at 9pm all the way until 7:30. No whining waking me up and no accident awaiting me in the crate. Life is beautiful.

My experience 6 weeks into puppy ownership!

Sammy is a 5 month old Aussie. He's my very first dog and he's completely taken over my life (in the best way) being a dog father has led me to look for something special to bring him home every time I go out somewhere I can't also take him. He's probably the bravest, silliest dog I've met. We've had two thunderstorms within the last few weeks and he didn't show a single ounce of fear. He loves water and will splash in the little pool I got him all day if I allowed it. His only fear is the real human pool, I guess it's because he can't touch the bottom. He plays very well with his giant Great Dane aunt. I have yet to experience puppy blues because he's generally very well behaved and figured out potty training and commands very quickly. He's completely silent, which is odd. He doesn't bark at other dogs or passersby or even while playing, I've only heard him bark when I leave him alone. I'm anticipating the evil teenage phase and I know it's going to drive me crazy. But I just adore him so much and I'm so excited to see what he grows up to be.

My 5 month old Aussie is starting to get that adult body shape 😭😭😭

Gone are his stubby silly legs and his wobbly little run and chubby belly 💔 he went from 23 lbs to 31 lbs in the last week and he no longer fits in his puppy crate, onto the adult one. It's both heartbreaking and exciting!

Trying to herd(?) People toward him in public

I have a 23 week old Aussie I got about a month ago, and he is a very good boy. No behavioral issue and he behaves pretty well in public and doesn't react to other dogs. I've never even heard him bark at anything or anyone BUT. He is very excited to see people and get pet by them, when we are in stores, he will stand stiff at the end of the aisle just staring at people until they come over and acknowledge him. Has this happened with your Aussie and how did you stop it

All my friends and family have watched this video, and it baffles me

When I was 10 years old I had a YouTube channel. Like a lot of kids in the modern era. It was just videos of me making little crafts, exploring my neighborhood with my cousins, and roleplaying with toys. This channel still exists. Most of the videos ended up being set to private for clearly having a kid in them but there's two or three still up. There's one in specific that keeps really bothering me, I'm in my room at like 3am making up a story with my toys and I fully re-enact a rape, where the character I'm narrating as hears his older sister getting raped in the bunk bed above him and then gets raped himself. It's pretty graphically depicted and upon rewatching it I was incredibly disturbed. I've always had an odd feeling that something happened to me in my childhood that I couldn't remember and this was bringing up a lot of questions for me. I don't have an older sister but my older cousin slept in a bunk bed above me for years and I'm aware she had some issues with being sexually abused as a kid. I'm not sure who or when but I remember hearing some murmuring about it as a kid. Idk. But what has been really bothering me is that my mom watched this video just a couple months ago and laughed her ass off, calling it cute. I've had several friends and family members watch it and laugh and I just don't understand. Yes it's cringy and silly in some parts but so concerning too. Nobody ever asked me about how I knew those things, or even addressed them at all.

5 month old Aussie puppy (got 3 weeks ago) will not stop biting during play

I've tried all the methods, redirection, putting his own paw in his mouth, walking away/ignoring him and none of it seems to work. I don't mind that much that he roughhouses with me while playing but he's biting my 11 year old brother so hard he bruises (I am covered in bruises and scars too but at least I'm an adult, I don't want him to ever play with little kids like that ) literally everything makes him more excited and bitey. Redirection to toys will distract him for a second but it's difficult to keep his attention on that. I tried putting his paw in his mouth but he just sat there chewing on his paw for a minute with no reaction. Our older dog is extremely submissive and won't correct him when he bites her too (she's a Great Dane though, I'm not too worried about injuries or anything, she regularly throws him around lol) I give him icecubes in case his gums hurt, or I take him outside to run around away from me, and that stuff works, but it's only a temporary solution and doesn't actually stop the behavior. He just has a lot of fun with chewing on his people.

Sammy's first hot summer day

Ignore that he found a way out of our fenced in yard moments after this and led me on a chase around the street as every car in town suddenly decided their life goal was to flatten him

My one year is next month and I'm clearly in a growth spurt

I increased my dose in April and I've started noticing more muscle development, arm hair, and my facial hair starts growing back about a day or two after I shave. I am so incredibly hungry all the time, and it's all for protein, yesterday I put down two burgers and three hotdogs. And it's worth it for the extra inch I grew (taller, not down there, although I have noticed a little change there too...) I am gendered correctly 100% in public (even by rednecks) even without my binder. My acne is going down significantly. Life is good. And I recently got a dog, which was weirdly gender affirming?? Don't ask, idk

I might be a terrible owner

I have my 19 week Aussie puppy sleeping in the crate and he's been doing alright, no accidents in the crate for a few days now, but last night I pulled an all nighter doing some work and fell asleep at 8 am after taking him out, I then slept until 12:30 pm without taking him out once, luckily I have the consolation that he didn't bark at all, meaning that he was probably napping too, but still I feel horrific about this, I've had him for two weeks and I'm worried I'm failing him completely

Best tips for keeping puppy cool during summer?

I just got my Aussie puppy last Friday, and I've noticed he starts panting pretty hard after a couple minutes outside (me too buddy..) and it's starting to get up to 85 where I'm at, so I want to know some fun ways to keep him cooled down outside, I've already tried out giving him a frozen rag and he loved it, it seemed to cool him off monumentally. I have a pool but he's only three months old so I'm worried he's too little for swimming yet.

Three month old Aussie having sleep issue

We've only had him for about five days but within those days he's barely slept, he stays up for most of the night and day. I take him out every 30 minutes of the day and run outside with him, play some games where he has to use his brain, and work on some training (right now our starting priority is down, he's a bit overexcitable) the first day or so we had him he was very relaxed and chill and mostly just wanted to sit around but now he's sort of the walls and bitey. With everything near him lol. I know this is partially normal but I think the lack of sleep could be overexerting this. The problem is that I can never get him in a quiet environment. My little brother stays up ALL night watching super loud overstimulating videos in the room I have my puppy's crate in. I would just bring him up to my room but my cats aren't introduced to him yet and they stay in my room almost 98% percent of the time and I don't want to spring that on them yet. I try to tell him how much this affects my puppy when he's so little and needs so much sleep but he doesn't really care at all and claims the videos won't keep the dog up. Should I just wait out the grumpy phase until he becomes acclimated to the noisiness? My family is always very loud so it'll be good for him to be used to it. But I just feel so bad

How did you introduce your puppy to cats?

I'm bringing home a 3 month old Aussie puppy this weekend and of all the research I have done I can't seem to find very good information on how to introduce and have a puppy get along with adult cats. I have three adult cats and two of them are quite anxious and temperamental and I don't want to stress them out and cause high tension. I figure you don't introduce a puppy to cats the same way you introduce cats to other cats but I'm really lost on that. This will be my first puppy that I'm actually involved with the training in so I'm pretty new to all this.

Idk if this is something anyone else has experienced, but when I was 14 I went gluten free for the first time because I was getting sick every time I ate and it really helped and I felt so much better, but for some reason it caused my appetite for most food to completely go away, which wasn't a huge deal at first because I had a bit of a good addiction problem and I was slightly overweight, but then it didn't stop and I lost like 30 pounds in two weeks, quit being gluten free because it became too expensive+high maintenance and somehow ended up being anorexic for two years. I still got sick from eating and my health was insane and horrible and I was constantly nauseous and had inconsistent shits but at least I was mostly recovered from my ED. Anyways I'm 18 now and I decided to try gluten free again so I can improve my health, as it's really been affecting my quality of life and ability to do school and other activities. After one week of being gluten free, I've noticed my appetite going away again??? Why is this happening? Has anyone else experienced this, I'm trying to prevent relapse by just eating anyways but it is difficult.
