Recommend: Star smog for sports car

I know this is kind of specific but I have a mid engine sports car and it’s hard to get to the engine, the last 3 smog shops turned me away because they didn’t have the right tools and/or didn’t want the liability of removing interior panels. Anyone with a similar setup like boxster, cayman, r8 can recommend the place you go? Needs to be star certified.

Intuitive ideas for 2 new light switch locations in galley kitchen

I'm adding under cabinet lights and a spotlight over the sink with light switches for each.

At the moment there's two switches (2 gang) at the entrance, one for the laundry/hall and one for the 4 kitchen lights. Instead of doubling the number of light switches at the entrance where would be natural places to add the additional switches; I'm between demo and renovation, there's no drywall so it's completely my choice.

Existing light switches at the green boxes (entrance & above dishwasher)

I'm open to creative new ideas but I want it to be intuitive. My ideas are:

  1. Double existing switches are at the entrance
  2. Repurpose the garbage disposal above the dishwasher with double switch
  3. On wall to the right of the stove (Hidden around the corner)

Kitchen demo’ed to the studs. What to do while everything is exposed?

Kitchen, hvac closet and laundry are all in the same area that is now gutted. So far i have photos of the utility pipes and wires, adding a spotlight/switch over the sink and updating to GFCI outlets.

What else is smart to do while everything is easy access?

I know this sounds like crazy town but hear me out. In a front facing collision if the rider’s body were to hit an object like a tall suv or truck and stop/slow suddenly but the head (above the hood) would still moving forward, the helmet becomes a weight that can pull the neck too hard and cause fatal injury (RIP Earnhardt Sr). In a race car there’s a HANS device paired with racing harness to prevent this specific injury but obviously bikes don’t have any of that. Is the next best “do no harm” solution to design the helmet to release in certain circumstances?

Came across this scenario the other day up in the mountains>!, motorcycle vs SUV head-on. Saw the helmet (shoei) on the ground about 100ft away where the coolant trail started (point of impact?), the lower pads were pulled out from the back but still attached at the cheek pads. My guess is it came off right away. Rider is alive but concussed; i asked the people on the scene if they moved him or removed the helmet, they said no. SUV driver didn’t see anything (airbags) and nobody else was around.!<

So a week later im thinking: was the helmet falling off the rider performing as designed to prevent a worse injury OR was it a blind luck, poorly fitted helmet “fail successfully” scenario?
