Wilds is by far one of the most miserable multiplayer experiences I've had

It's a day like any other, and I join a crowded lobby.

I post any kind of endgame quest - 10* or whatever 9* double monster investigation I have saved.

I wait. And wait. And wait... And wait [...]. I swear I could derp around the Grand Hub for 30 mins and literally no one would join. I'm like, okay, I'll do it myself, not a big deal, maybe someone will join shortly after. So I start it.

By the time I'm 7-10 minutes into the hunt (pretty much nearing the end), people start SWARMING in. And they make sure to take their sweetest time to actually get into the fight: sitting at camp doing whatever, travelling across the entire map because they couldn't bother choosing the most convenient pop up camps I had carefully set up. At best, they get to smack the monster twice. Yay, congratulations, great job guys, free rewards for y'all, woohoo best team mates ever. Back to the hub spamming emotes/stickers purchased with daddy's money, I guess.

Then there's the genius joining a double monster quest I posted, like, let's say Seregios and Rey Dau. I go after Seregios first. They go... after Rey. Like, dude, can't you just open the map and check what the host is doing if you're not seeing him around? Splitting the team is detrimental for both survivability AND damage. And maybe I'm using the Hunting Horn so I can't even get to buff you. So much for the "coop" experience. Jesus Christ on a rabid Legiana, it takes no effort to read the room, and this happens way too often.

Not to mention the classic: those joining a 10* quest with unupgraded armour, unreinforced Artian weapon, and a build that might only make sense in a parallel universe. There was this HR150 dude who joined a 10* Jin Dahaad I had posted, carted thrice with insurance during the first two stages, then proceeded to just chill at camp basically waiting for me to complete the quest for him. Like, fuck you dude. And that was just the latest example of a very long list, definitely not an outlier.

I've stopped giving a single flying fuck and started kicking players. No regrets. Also don't complain if you see a quest with manual accept on. That's only one of the natural outcomes when the playerbase is riddled with leeches and all shades of "carry me senpai".

Wilds is such a depressing multiplayer game.

Can't wait to see a Bulktera added to the bestiary as well.

Edit: sorry but I had to keep some safe distance for obvious reasons.
