Travel!

Wanting to take my rabbit to see my grandfather in a nursing home! the drive is 2 hours. what should i do for traveling? he just had GI stasis a week ago, and had all medication for it, so i would bring that along. but how do people travel with rabbits? it’s a day trip so 2 hours there, free roam time for a few hours, and back home 2 hours.

Moving!

Hi! I’ll be moving back to college in the next week and my rabbit will be coming with. This will be his first time in a car for over 3 hours. What should i do to make his travels easy and stress free. He just got through a GI Stasis episode, i really don’t want to stress him out more than he has to be. My original plan was to use a medium sized dog kennel with metal bars and plastic bottom, put his litter box and a small bed inside. is that how you travel with a rabbit? He is a 2 year old neutered male rex. i got him from someone getting rid of him, he’s fully litter-box trained!! I don’t have any other option as i have to go back i can’t wait for the recovery of GI Stasis, i’m bringing the medications he got from the vet incase he flares up again. but he seems to be back to normal for the most part i think his worst moment was having to be held down by a towel and get 3 syringes daily.

Losing weight fast!

My leopard gecko kitty has been rapidly losing weight in her tail but not in her body, hard to tell but she has lost enough weight in her tail to have extra skin. she lost her tail over a year ago that’s why it doesn’t look normal. she was taken to the vet for it. Her appetite has been normal if not wanting more than normal, pooping, and drinking water as normal. do i need to take her to the vet, keep feeding her more and wait, or is this an emergency? Thank you!

Carpet chewing!

My boy Bruce is 2, neutered and litter trained. i just got him from someone rehoming him, due to them moving and not being able to take him with. I’ve never had a bunny, but i’ve been doing all the research i can. Bruce has started a new hobby of chewing spots in my carpet. What do i do to stop him?! he’s not interested in cords, or the baseboards i have in my home, but very interested in carpet. I have lots of toys for him, and i made a DIY dig box for him. what else can i do i feel like i’ve done everything i can to get him to stop! i’ve covered the spots he’s starting to chew but he finds a new spot everytime. please help!!!

Meet Bruce!

looking for advice for Bruce! i got him from someone moving states and couldn’t take him with. i’ve never had a bunny before but im huge into animal care! please send all the tips and tricks and suggestions you have! Bruce is 2 years old, a neutered male, full size rex weighs about 9 pounds. He is free range between 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with hallways included upstairs. He’s super friendly aswell! he has been getting easily bored and i’m looking for some suggestions on stimulation for him. He has stacking cups which he loves, a tunnel, a dig box, and toys i’ve spent a fortune on. what else can i get him? he has dug a hole in the carpet under a bed and that was the reason i made his dig box. I also wanted to look for some help on how to get matting out. He has a few mats on his butt, and doesn’t let anyone try to get them out with fingers, brush, anything! i read this was common for them to get them by their rear. But how do you deal with it when they don’t let you touch their rear?!
