When the first word in a show is the word The and you are organizing those recordings you ignore the word "the" in the title and sort it with the letter that begins the following word. For example; The Rocky Horror Show goes under R. ...The Phantom of the Opera is filed under P. Encora does this automatically.

I recently added La Cage aux Folles and Encora filed it with the shows starting with C as it should because the first word in the title is La which in French means "the". But then I added Les Miserables to my collection and it is filed with the shows beginning with the letter L even though the word "Les" in French also means "the". If the others are filed with the word following "the" why isn't Les Miserables filed with the M's??

I don't speak French so is there some linguistic difference between La and Les which would make this make sense?

I was making a trade with someone and they informed me the show I sent had a couple of files encrypted. Not all of them, just five or so. I didn't encrypt them so I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this so I can complete my trade.

I tried removing the folder and files from Mega and re-upping them from my hard drive with no success. Now I am noticing other shows have random files that are colored red... which I assume means encrypted. I would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this.

New to Mega and sharing files... I received a link from a friend with video files in a couple of folders. I downloaded them to my local hard drive. Another friend wants those video files so I uploaded them from my HD to my Mega account and sent him my link. Some of the individual files in two of the folders are encrypted but I didn't encrypt them. How do I remove the encryption... or where do I find the encryption key??

Is there a way to tell if a video of a musical is a master or a copy from a master?

I have been trading concert recordings for decades and during that time I either traded for (physical media) or torrented a handful of Broadway musicals. Some are VOB with smalls and some are mp4 with file sizes ranging from 4 to 8 GB. The size leads me to believe they might be masters or copies from a master.

When trading concert recordings that I suspect might be lossy I will put a track in my audio editor and run a spectral analysis but I have no video software and wouldn't know what kind of test to run if I did.

I don't want to add these to my trade list if they are rips or otherwise adulterated. How can I find out for sure?

I've read the Can I Add This? section on Encora but do not see anything specific to what I would like to do.

I have been collecting concert bootlegs for over a decade and although the traders I associate with share rock music concert one will occasionally have a Broadway/West End London or other such show.

If I have one of these and it is a copy directly from the taper's master is it acceptable to include it on my Encora Collection?

I found two people with the same show I would like to acquire. One (SJBernly) has "Closed to Trades" on their Encora Masters profile... the other is listed as "Unknown". Neither has a trading link shown.

How do I contact or get an introduction to masters who have a show I am interested in?
