Can you tell me what I bought?

Thrift store find. A friend sent me not great a photo of it and it had a hite-rite so I took a chance at $65 when he brought it to me I’m not sure it is what it’s labeled. Looks like someone’s old race bike based off the components did they make a John tomac tribute bike? Easton never made steel tubes to my knowledge. I can’t find anything with similar decals or fork on the interwebs.

Coffee Outside Bakersfield

Coffee Outside is back! Meet up at the bluffs with your favorite coffee or brew some when you get there. Don’t have the stuff to make coffee bring a mug and maybe some pastries to barter. Chill bike ride after in the panorama vista preserve if you want to join us.

Tour of the bay area.

This past Thursday a few of us loaded up on Amtrak in Bakersfield and headed to the Bay Area. We got off in Emeryville and decided to ride up into the hills and go check out Joaquin miller trails before we got to Lake Chabot and camped there. The next morning we got up and dropped into town and got on bart in Castro Valley and headed to the city. We met up with a friend and we started our day to Samuel P Taylor campground via the headlands, mt tam and bolinas ridge. (Loooong day but worth it). Day 3 we hit the pavement from the campground and stopped at the museum of bicycling before cruising to larkspur and taking the bay trail over the Richmond bridge and continuing back to lake Chabot for one last night of camping. Last day was just chill travel day eating and drinking coffee before taking Amtrak back from Oakland to Bakersfield. So much more happened but all in all it was a 4 day trip that I’ll plan again!

Here’s my bridge club survived 4 days of riding around 130miles and about 10k of elevation. Lost a kick stand and headlight broke.

New bike day. Does it qualify as xbiking because it has 2x9 XTR derailleurs, Dura ace and newbaums?
