Lone Star Le Mans delivered the action

Despite the heat it was great to see the crowds out over the weekend for some great racing, I hope it’s made a few more fans!!

A great win for Ferrari, sad to see the Toyota of Nyck de Vries suffer that failure just 10 mins from the finish, and Alpine lose second for a silly mistake.

I’ve been a big fan of endurance racing since the days of Group C in the 80s (more so than F1) and anything can happen during those 6 hours that decide the final outcome; rain, breakdowns, crashes, penalties, but they never stop because ‘in order to finish first, first you have to finish’.

The Exotics Network USGP Road to the Race Oct 21st

On October 21st, Road to the Race returns to The Long Center for its 4th annual edition, presented in collaboration with Circuit of The Americas.

Experience Austin’s Official Prelude to the USGP as more than 100 hypercars and supercars take over the Long Center alongside Formula 1 cars, live entertainment, racing simulators, local food and drinks, and a military flyover over downtown Austin.

For the highlight of the evening, guests will transition inside Dell Hall Auditorium for a live charity auction benefiting Dell Children’s Medical Center and The Long Center.

Four years in, Road to the Race continues to grow into one of Austin’s defining race week events.

Lone Star Le Mans Weather

Note that this is Texas and the weather can change in a heartbeat!! Needless to say, the tropical depression is the one to keep an eye on.

Influence of a tropical depression currently in the Gulf of Mexico/America (more details: @NHC_Atlantic) could bring some heavy rain from Wed night-Fri.

For Sat-Sun, isolated PM showers (20–30% risk) and intense heat (34–36°C) are expected.
