Can someone help me find ancestors?

Can someone help me find documentation in Spain on my Flores Ancestors? A now-deceased relative of mine created this family tree but I have been unable to locate the documents he used and would like anyone’s help finding additional older information either regarding people already on this tree or older ancestors that aren’t listed. On the Flores lineage they go back to Ayamonte, Huelva, Spain and I would love to know more about older ancestors either with them or any other branch on this family tree. Thanks!

Genealogical Research for Wife

Hi all!

I have been researching my ancestry for the past 1-2 years and I decided a few months ago to look into my wife’s ancestry as well. After speaking with my mother in law, she was able to give me some initial info based mainly on the people who emigrated to New York from Ireland but I need help in researching info for Ireland. My heritage traces back to Spain so naturally this is a bit of a different process (or so it seems to me lol). If anyone can help with seeing if there was an ancestor of nobility or at least more about who these ancestors were, where they were from, etc… we would love to know. If there is someone of nobility, I would also love to know what the specific coat of arms was. I added an old coat of arms in a frame that my mother in law had from her mother or grandmother but it could very well be old bucket shop so I would like to actually confirm the existence of any if any. Below I have also included information that my mother in law was able to give me outside of what these photos include. Forgive me if anything is spelled or referred to incorrectly as I am unfamiliar with the county system in Ireland. Thanks!

Father of Mother-in-Law:

John Neil Severa (B: Dec 28, 1947 in Forrest Hills, Queens, NY. D: July 25, 2013)

Anton Severa (Father of John^)

Anastasia Marie Bohm (Mother of John^)

Mother of Mother-in-Law:

Redacted as still living* (B: Aug 12, 1949 Jamaica, NY.)

Thomas Ignatius McGuinness (B: April 7, 1913. NY, NY. D: Sep 7, 1978. Bearsville, NY) Father of Redacted^ (Thomas’ father’s line from Sligo County? His mother from Moneghan?)

Madeline Patricia Wafer (B: Feb 24, 1918. NY, NY. D: June 30, 2002) Mother of Redacted (Father’s family from Wexford)

Sligo, Kilkenny, and County Cork, Ireland for McGuinness Bloodline

Czecho Slovakia or Portugal (Severa Bloodline)

Help with Nobility Research

I need help finding the specific coat of arms of two ancestral lines and also confirming whether nobility existed amongst a 3rd ancestral line. The first two
Lines are Solis which ties back to Villahormes, Hontoria, Llanes (Asturias), Spain and the Flor line that ties back to Renedo, Pielagos, Cantabria, Spain. The 3rd line which needs to confirm the existence of nobility (if any) or at least what these people did and that line is the Flores line that ties back to Ayamonte, Huelva, Spain.

The tree on the first 8 pages was created by a presumably-deceased relative of mine who conducted professional genealogical work using familial records and archival records. Unfortunately we have lost contact with him since 2020 and no one we have spoken with knows his whereabouts so he may be deceased. In either case, I cannot access his documents. The 3 branches shown on pages 9-11 are extended family trees created by a genealogist I hired from Madrid. She located the presence of nobility (lower-tier “hidalgos” status) among the Solis and Flor lines. For the Flores line her results have not shown signs of nobility but she said more research would need to be done in person for all 3 branches including the Flores line as that one had the least amount of digital documents available.

If anyone here can help me with in person research as I live in the USA, it would mean the world to me. If anyone would like any additional information or documentation from what the genealogist has found, please let me know and I can get it to you. The genealogist has found what the cost of arms would have looked like for Solis and Flor but stated that without further in-person research, she could not confirm if they used that specific variation of the arms. I have also attached the examples she gave me for those lines as for reference at the end.

I also included in article that the relative of mine had completed for the Cuban Genealogy Club of Miami in which he describes a Flores ancestor of mine but unfortunately it has not been much help.

Genealogical Research Help

I need help researching these ancestral lines in Spain. Primarily the Flores, Solis, and Garcia de la Flor lines. The first 8 images are from a tree a now-deceased relative of mine put together and I do not have access to the records he used to do so. The last 3 are extensions of those branches created by a professional genealogist I hired who is in Madrid. Her work was incomplete as she said further research would need to be conducted in person to determine if nobility existed and what coat of arms they would have displayed.

If anyone can be of any further assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.

Help with Genealogical Research

I need help determining if these ancestral lines contain any nobility. A genealogist found some but could not confirm without checking the archives in person for some of the lines and same with other lines that she didn’t find any evidence for yet as there could be non-digitized evidence. Can anyone help in Asturias confirm with the local archives for the Solis line? If anyone can help with the other lines as well that would be great. The Asturias line traces potential nobility to Villahormes, Hontoria, Llanes. I also have a report from the genealogist with the coat of arms believed to belong to the branch but again, it would need to be confirmed in person with records so if anyone over there can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Genealogical Research Ayamonte

I need help locating information about the older ancestors down the Flores family line in these photos from a family pedigree chart. The line traces back to Ayamonte, Huelva, Spain in 1682. If anyone can find records of older ancestors or any information regarding their occupation or potential nobility or Coat of Arms, I would love to hear more.

If anyone also has any information regarding the people in either the Solis line or any others regarding nobility or cost of arms, I would love to hear about those as well.

Disclaimer: All people in this tree are deceased. I also have a genealogist report from a professional who located signs of nobility down the Solis and Garcia de la Flor lines but results (thus far) have been negative down the Flores line although she indicated more in person research could be done. If anyone can help beyond what she’s done, please let me know! I added the extended trees she created at the end as well.

Help with Research! Please Read

To all who care to read:

I have been conducting intermittent genealogical research over the course of about 1-2 years now. Originally, this was with the hope to find a coat of arms somewhere in one of my family’s ancestral lines but honestly, I would be happy just knowing more about the ancestors in general (who they were, what they did, where they lived, etc)… My ancestry (primarily paternal grandfather’s side) ties back to a few different regions in Spain that I’ve looked into and even gone as far as hiring a genealogist in Spain to conduct further research over there. She was somewhat helpful in the process but the work was ultimately incomplete.

I was wondering if I could reach out to anyone on here to help me continue my research and either find a CoA or just learn more about my ancestors. No real experience required honestly, just looking for more people to help in finding out more about these people and if you know or have access to sources that can help, perfect. If this is you, let me know in a comment or by messaging me, and I can send you what I have already and we can go from there.

Also, if you wished to help with CoA research, understand that I do not believe that anyone was of any “first-tier” titled nobility and that, if anything, some may be of lower-tier nobility “hidalgos.” The genealogist found some evidence suggesting as such but further research would need to be done to truly find out if I am connected and how.

I would like to stress once again, I do not need a CoA to be found, I do not expect one to be, and I understand the requirements to be given the right to bear any Coat of Arms discovered should one be. This is simply me trying to fill in what feels like an incomplete puzzle in my family’s history.

Thank you
