Any Indians here who have visited Socotra? How did you deal with the Yemen travel restrictions?

I've been researching Socotra Island and noticed that many tour operators offer trips via Abu Dhabi. Since Socotra is part of Yemen, I'm curious about the practical experience of people who have actually been there.

Did you need any special permission from your home country?

Were there any issues when returning home?

Was your passport stamped, or was a separate paper used?

Did immigration ask any questions?

Would you recommend waiting until the situation changes, or is it fairly straightforward at the moment?

I'm not looking for ways around any laws, just interested in hearing real experiences from people who have visited recently.

Is the ¥15,000 Japan tourist visa fee from July 2026 applicable to Indian passport holders as well?

I've been seeing a lot of posts and Instagram reels claiming that Japan will increase tourist visa fees from ¥3,000 to ¥15,000 starting July 1, 2026.

However, the Embassy of Japan in India currently lists visa fees for Indian nationals at only ₹500 (plus VFS charges) due to a special arrangement.

So I'm a bit confused:

Is the new ¥15,000 fee only for countries paying the standard visa fee?

Will Indian passport holders continue to pay ₹500, or is the India-specific arrangement also changing?

Has anyone seen any official statement from the Japanese Embassy in India or VFS regarding this?

Slice support gave me contradictory instructions and 5 different rejection reasons. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm genuinely confused and wanted to know whether anyone else has faced something similar with Slice.

Around 3 months ago, I applied for the Slice credit card and was informed that the rejection was due to my CIBIL/credit history.

Recently, I decided to apply again. During the application process, my bank account wasn't getting fetched properly. I contacted support, and they advised me to use my savings account instead. The application was rejected.

However, I noticed that another personal current account was being shown. I contacted support again and they told me that, as an exception, I could reapply. Before reapplying, I specifically asked multiple times whether I should use a savings account or a current account. Different agents gave different answers.

Later, when my savings account had OTP/fetching issues, one of the agents explicitly told me to proceed using my personal current account. Following their instructions, I applied again, only to be rejected once more.

After that, another agent informed me that current accounts cannot be used.

What confuses me even more is that I have now received multiple different rejection reasons:

3 months ago: CIBIL/credit history.

Yesterday: Multiple credit enquiries.

Today: Credit usage pattern.

Later: Eligibility criteria not met.

Most responses simply consisted of generic templates without addressing my actual question.

Throughout this entire process, I repeatedly asked one simple question:

"Can I use my personal current account for applying for the Slice credit card?"

Instead of answering that question, support agents kept sending unrelated rejection templates.

At one point, I even received a completely unrelated response:

"Yes Karate and Naughty journey can you play?"

Another time, I sarcastically thanked an agent for how involved they were in their work because I felt they weren't reading my messages. The agent responded by thanking me for my "kind words," which made me feel like they were simply sending canned responses without paying attention to the conversation.

I then provided screenshots showing that one agent had instructed me to use the current account, while another claimed current accounts were not supported. Even after sharing the screenshots and requesting that they stop sending generic replies, I again received another template saying that my eligibility criteria were not met.

At this point, I genuinely don't know:

Whether personal current accounts are supported or not.

What the actual reason for rejection is.

Whether the support team themselves have visibility into the exact reason.

I'm attaching screenshots of the entire conversation because this has been one of the most confusing customer support experiences I've ever had.

See there responses how clearly he ignored my message .

Chats are not arranged but you guys can connect the points even one agent told me he can't see in screenshot that's agent told me that i can use current account

Slice CC application not detecting IDFC account – anyone else faced this?

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for the Slice credit card and during the bank account selection process, all my other accounts (ICICI, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank, etc.) are showing up correctly, but my IDFC FIRST Bank account is not appearing at all.

I receive the OTP from IDFC and my account is visible in the Account Aggregator section of the IDFC app, so the account itself seems to be working fine. The issue is that Slice says no account is found for IDFC while other banks are detected normally.

Has anyone else faced this issue with IDFC FIRST Bank? Were you able to fix it, or is this a temporary problem with Slice/NSDL?
