VirtualBox Windows 10 VM has extremely slow downloads (0.41 Mbps) but fast uploads (29.50 Mbps) — tried everything for 3 days

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling with an extremely slow internet download speed inside my **Windows 10 VM running on VirtualBox**. It's been 3 days, and I've tried multiple fixes without success.

**Speed test results inside the VM:**

- Ping: 9 ms

- Download: 0.41 Mbps

- Upload: 29.50 Mbps

**What I've tried so far:**

- Switching network adapter types, including Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop and Server.

- Resetting the Windows network stack through Command Prompt.

- Performing a shallow Git clone.

- Increasing Git's `http.postBuffer` size.

- Several other troubleshooting steps that I can no longer remember.

Despite everything, downloads remain painfully slow, while uploads are relatively fast.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions for diagnosing and fixing this. I'm exhausted from troubleshooting and would be grateful for a solution.

Thanks in advance!

Gpt-6 astra is still just a front end tool (the doorman fallacy)

So, you may have seen multiple videos of Astra performing computer-related tasks. Have you noticed how smoothly the cursor moves (rtx 5080 16Gb) are u kidding ? I mean, what kind of processor is powerful enough to run everything that fast while still rendering those cool designs and eye-catching games?

Also, has anyone actually performed a bug test on it? And regarding the PCB claims, has anyone verified the PCBs to make sure all the copper traces are properly aligned correctly?

Most importantly, is Astra actually as good as a human when it comes to troubleshooting computer-related problems?

Is it useful for daily purposes?

My interview went really badly and I don’t know what to do?

They asked me some basic questions about Python/Java, like the difference between List and Tuple, Error and Exception, loops, and OOP concepts. Even though I had studied these topics before, I got nervous and struggled to explain some of my answers properly.

The worst part is that after the interview, I kept thinking about the questions and realized I actually knew some of the answers. I just couldn't explain them properly during the interview.

Any advice for my next interview would really help.

I really liked Reservoir Dogs, but I didn't enjoy Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown as much.

Is there anybody who doesn't like Tarantino and feels me is overrated in some areas

How can I become a Cloud Security Engineer from complete beginner to expert who can eventually guide others?

I want to build a career as a Cloud Security Engineer, but I'm starting from the basics and want to learn everything properly rather than just collecting certifications.

Could someone share a step-by-step roadmap from complete beginner to job-ready Cloud Security Engineer, and eventually to a level where I can mentor/guide others?

I'd also appreciate recommendations for free/low-cost labs, courses, YouTube channels, books, and practice platforms.

If you are currently working as a Cloud Security Engineer, I'd especially appreciate advice on what you wish you had learned earlier and what beginners commonly waste time on.

Should I buy the Citroën C3X Feel as my first car for family & long highway drives?

I'm planning to buy my first car and considering the Citroën C3X Feel.

My main use will be for a family of 4, with mostly long highway trips from Hyderabad to places like Tirupati, Rameshwaram, Shirdi, Bhadrachalam, etc. City driving will be relatively rare.

How is the C3X Feel for:

Highway comfort and stability

Performance with 4 people + luggage

Mileage

Safety

Reliability and long-term ownership

Citroën service availability and after-sales support

Please be honest about the pros and cons, especially from actual owners. Would you recommend the C3X Feel for my use case, or should I consider something like the Baleno, Exter or Punch instead?
