Wtf.....her second DT in 3 boxes this year. 🫪

On a fishing trip and had to stop at Walmart in Rumford Maine. There was a single box of NASCAR Donruss and a bunch of Frozen cards or something so we bought it and decided to do a car rip in the parking lot. Split the box 50-50 with my girlfriend and SHE PULLS HER SECOND DOWNTOWN FROM THIS PRODUCT. So guess who's opening ALL my cards from now on!!! The last one was a Hocevar I posted on here.

Found these interesting inserts going through my common boxes....

Been going through boxes of cards I've had in storage for years (it's like ripping your own collection again) and I found these interesting cards from 08-09 Topps Co-Signers Face the Facts insert.

What makes them interesting is only the dominant card (left) is serial numbered and the card on the right could easily be swapped out to create different pairings (with these cards, for example, I could make a Bird/Love pairing with the Bird numbered to /399 and the Love un-numbered) ....which is cool but...odd since they're serial numbered. The set ups here are the configurations I pulled from the pack.

The Kevin Love is a rookie year card.

1996 Classic/Sprint $1 phone card

I'm going through cards I put in storage years ago and having a blast. I've always enjoyed collecting odd ball/Regional/Test items so I've been coming across some interesting items- this phone card (unused) was in packs of 1996 Classic Basketball. This card features Rasheed Wallace in his NC uniform. I think it's cool because it brings me back to the 90's phone culture and combines basketball with the very beginning of the tech revolution. Anyway....a fun piece rescued from the common box. It's the Clear Assets insert named because it's printed on a clear piece of acetate.

Today's flea market find was this unopened tin of 97 Pinnacle Inside...so of course.....

I collected the baseball when it came out during the peak of junk wax. Never seen the football release. There aren't too many "hits" in this product but we'll see.....I collected Curtis Martin back in the day so the tin itself is a good start.....for $5 I figured why not. 😀 It says open only under adult supervision so I'm waiting for my mom to come home. Just kidding....😂😂...so without further ado....

Picked up two boxes of 2026 Donruss and I gotta be honest it was a ton of fun to rip. New England race fans have got to LOVE the Ryan Blaney card even if he's not your driver as he's pictured following a Loudon NH win holding the giant lobster. So far my favorite card in the set. Good selection of numbered cards including the Austin Dillion 1/3 and the William Byron auto 25/25. And that red wave Hendricks Motor Sports Logo 73/99 is a sick looking card and going directly into my Kyle Larson collection. The Daniel Hemeric 15/19 was the other significantly low numbered card. Overall the design is great and each pack was a blast 💥.

Finally got the rest of my collection out of the ex-wife's house this past weekend. This is all the stuff I ripped over the years 1996-2018 and tucked away in boxes while I was going to college, building a career and raising a family. The haul I brought home yesterday consists of (5) 5000 count boxes (12) 3200 count boxes and two shoe boxes. It's been so long since I went through these that it's like a flea market find except I already owned it. Lol. A lot of junk wax stuff but I also had a knack of finding interesting/regional/test/oddball items so if I find anything interesting I'll toss it up here. Went through one of the shoeboxes last night as a warm-up.....here are the highlights from the first box.......

In the early to mid 80's before it was the thing it is now I used to do a lot of TTM autographs. I got a lot of HOFers and contemporary greats of the game but the single best signer was Mike Schmidt. He always responded, signed the item and included a note. In this response from 1987 he included a letter that addressed his 500th HR milestone and was personalized. And in this case he sent two signatures in the same blue sharpie. I don't know how he is today. I haven't sent out requests in years but hats off to Mike Schmidt and his efforts to respond to fans. Thought you folks might enjoy seeing this. It's one of my favorite pieces in my autograph collection.
