[homemade] Turkish Chicken Soup

I just made this delicious soup for the first time and result was super yummy

Ingredients:

1/2 chicken breast
1 glass of vermicelli noodles
1 carrot, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 green capsicum pepper, chopped
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour

For Topping,

2 tablespoons of oil for frying
1 teaspoon of red safran
1 bunch of parsley

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, add the chicken breast and cover with 2 liters of water. Season with salt and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.

  2. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

  3. Add the diced carrot, peppers, garlic and flour to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

  4. Mix the vegetable pan with the chicken broth. Add vermicelli noodles to the pan. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

  5. Shred the cooked chicken into small pieces and add it to the soup. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the soup has thickened slightly. Then, garnish with fresh parsley.

  6. In a small pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add the red Safran. Fry for a few seconds until fragrant.

Serve the soup hot, topped with red safran and the chopped parsley. Enjoy your meal!

Where can I buy good-quality linen clothing and bedding in Dubai?

Does anyone know a shop in Dubai that sells really good quality linen products, especially clothing and bedding?
I know that Belgian linen is considered one of the best, but I’m not sure if there are any shops here . With the weather getting so hot, I’m thinking good linen could really help with staying cooler, especially for bedsheets and summer clothes.
If anyone has recommendations for shops, brands, or online stores that deliver in Dubai, I’d really appreciate , thank you

Urushi/kintsugi shops in Hanoi, Vietnam

I need your help! Does anyone know a place in Hanoi where I can buy natural urushi or Vietnamese lacquer?

I’ll be traveling there soon, and unfortunately my current urushi lacquer has expired. It’s becoming really difficult to continue my kintsugi projects with it.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

Does anyone else ever look up at the windows of skyscrapers and wonder what the people inside are like?

Sometimes I catch myself imagining their lives and if they are having dinner, or watching a movie, celebrating something, or maybe going through a difficult time. It’s strange how every window has a completely different story. Does anyone else do this, or is it just me?

Tabby Voucher

Hi! I just wanted to share something with you . I received an email from Tabby saying that I’ve been given a voucher. Has anyone else received something like this? Is it legitimate, or could it be some kind of scam?

Kada slomljeno postane lepo – japanska umetnost kintsugija

Želela bih da podelim veoma zanimljiv video japanskog kintsugi majstora i senseija Showzija Tsukamota.

(Kintsugi Showzi)

Looking for an authentic and beginner-friendly Turkish borek recipe

I was on holiday in Turkey recently and tried a meat borek for the first time. It was absolutely delicious, and I’d love to try recreating something similar at home.
I know there are plenty of recipes online, but I was wondering if anyone here has a tried-and-tested family recipe or an easy version that would work well for someone making borek for the first time.
I also suspect it may be difficult to find the exact dough used for traditional Turkish borek in my local supermarkets. Would phyllo pastry be a good substitute, or is there something else you’d recommend?
I would really appreciate any recipes, tips, or beginner mistakes to avoid. Thanks!
