Looking to meet some genuine people in Chandigarh

Moved here recently and realised I don't really have a circle here yet.

Not looking for parties or networking. Just hoping to meet a few like-minded people who are up for good conversations, coffee, walks, exploring the city or even random late-night discussions.

I'm 33 and at a stage where I'm trying to figure out a few things in life, so it'd be nice to meet people who are going through their own stuff too.

If this sounds relatable, feel free to DM. No pressure, we can just start with a conversation.

10+ years in a PSU bank — thinking about a career transition

I’m 33 and have been working in a PSU bank for 10+ years. I’m seriously thinking about a career transition, but haven’t figured out the exact direction yet.

My educational background gives me an option to explore IT/technology-related roles, but I’m not looking at pure technical or coding-heavy work. I’m more interested in areas where technology, banking, risk, compliance, audit, vigilance or governance come together.

For those who have made a transition after 10+ years in banking.

How did you figure out your next direction? What skills or certifications actually helped?

M33: Early 30s crisis anyone else feeling this?

I'm 33, working in a stable government job. Financially, things are okay, but professionally I feel stuck and increasingly purposeless. Leaving a secure career after so many years feels risky, but staying feels equally frustrating.

Personally, things haven't been much better. A few relationships didn't work out, and somewhere along the way I've lost the ability to trust people easily. I miss having a genuine connection, but starting over feels difficult.

Nothing dramatic happened recently. It's just this growing feeling of professional and personal emptiness.

Anyone else going through something similar? How are you dealing with it?

11 years into a government bank job and feeling stuck

I'm 33 and have been working in a government bank for the last 11 years.

The job is stable, the pay is decent, and I know a lot of people would consider it a great career. But for the last few years, I've had this constant feeling that I'm not where I belong.

It's not that I hate my job. I just don't feel excited by it anymore. I keep looking at other fields like consulting, corporate law, investing, policy, research, even real estate, wondering if I'd be a better fit there. Then I start overthinking everything and end up doing nothing.

The biggest challenge is walking away from the security of a government job without knowing if the other side will actually be better.

I'm posting here because I'm sure I can't be the only one who's gone through this. If you've been in a similar situation, I'd really like to know what you did. Did you switch? Did you stay? Do you regret your decision? Even if you're still figuring it out, I'd love to hear your story.

Maybe reading about someone else's journey will help me make sense of my own.

Does anyone else feel like they're just drifting through life?

I'm in my early 30s. I have a stable career, I'm doing okay financially, but lately I feel like I'm just existing.

It's not just my career. I keep questioning if I'm in the right profession, but my personal life feels equally empty. I've had a few relationships over the years, none worked out, and I still don't fully understand why. These days, I mostly feel alone.

I'm not depressed (at least I don't think I am), but life just feels... directionless. Like I'm waiting for something to change without knowing what that "something" is.

I'm curious if anyone else has gone through a phase like this. What helped you get out of it? Was it changing careers, meeting new people, therapy, a new hobby, or did it just take time?

I'm not really looking for quick fixes. I just want to hear from people who genuinely relate.
