Planning to buy in SF with a 2 Million budget

We are planning to buy in SF with a 2 Million budget in the next year or so. I have an infant so school timing and such doesn't matter but area does, and hoping to have a community where my son can grow up. The thing is, suddenly SF feels too out of reach with this budget for a single family home. Whatever is happening in places like west portal? I'm curious to know what the community thinks and would do in such a situation : consider other areas ( we really like SF) vs considering a condo vs wait...I know this is a personal decision at the end of the day but just wondering if there are others in the same boat and what the thinking is.

Might be a silly question, but do you wash soft toys before first use?

My LO is 9 months old and I have never bought him any soft or plush toys. But I have a few gifts from friends - a fewJelly cat s and Mary meyers . Am I supposed to wash them first? Would you all be okay giving them to a young baby who's obviously going to put it in his mouth.

Curvy petite work wear

Please help a relatively newly postpartum mom with some work wear. I’m 5’1” and have a huge curtain belly that I’d to hide or manage. I don’t want to buy a ton of clothes but I need clothes to wear
