Rex achat Sim à CDG - paris vs ailleurs

Salut !

Merci 🙏

Jetstar carry-on 3–4 cm too thick to Okinawa, anyone had issues?

Flying to Okinawa with Jetstar soon. My cabin suitcase exceeds the allowed thickness by about 3–4 cm, but the weight is within limits. I’m totally fine paying extra fees if needed, but online I can only find options for extra weight, not oversized cabin dimensions.

Has anyone flown Jetstar to Japan/Okinawa with a slightly oversized carry-on? Did they make you check it in, charge you at the airport, or were they flexible if it was only a few cm over?

Traveling to Japan with a valid APS (post-master) re-entering France experiences?

Hi everyone,

I currently live in France and I have an APS (Autorisation Provisoire de Séjour) that allows me to work legally in France after my Master’s degree (post-master APS). I graduated last year and I’m currently in the process of changing my status to a salarié titre de séjour.

I’m planning a short trip to Japan and then returning to France afterward. My Japanese visa was issued in France while I was on this APS, and my APS will still be valid when I return.

Has anyone here traveled outside the Schengen area with this type of APS and successfully re-entered France? Any issues with immigration or airlines?

I’ll be traveling with:

  • valid passport
  • valid APS
  • return ticket
  • proof that my salarié titre de séjour application is in progress if needed

Would really appreciate hearing about real experiences before I book everything. Thanks!

Hey everyone,

My partner and I (both from paris) are heading to Okinawa for 6 days in late May. We’ll be spending our first 24h around American Village, then heading up north for the rest of the trip.

We already have a pretty solid list of beach / water activities planned for the northern part, but we’re curious about other things to do as well.

A bit about us: we both love dancing, photography, and we’re also tennis players. Would love any recommendations that fit those interests whether it’s cool spots, events, courts, or anything a bit different from the usual tourist stuff ( or not )

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! I have a question about floor-level sofas, especially inspired by Japanese styles. I’m 5'8", and my friends are around 5'9" to 5'11". I’m comparing a traditional corner sofa, nicely padded, to a modern Japanese floor-level sofa that’s super plush. Has anyone tried these? Are they comfortable long-term? I’d love hear your thoughts. Thanks so much!

Hi everyone,

I recently submitted my change of status application (towards a salarié/employee permit, CDI) through Démarches Simplifiées. My APS expires on July 17th and I'm starting to stress out.

The official platform says 28 days to 2 months best case scenario for Paris. But I've read elsewhere that the Paris préfecture themselves say 7 months on average when you contact them directly... so I honestly don't know what to believe.

What's also worrying me is that my application has been sitting in "déposé" (submitted) status for several days now, not yet moved to "instruction". Is that normal? How long does it usually take before someone actually looks at the file?

Has anyone done a change of status recently in Paris? How long did it actually take from start to finish?

In my situation, my APS expires July 17th and I'm on a CDI. I don't care about the actual card right now, I just need a récépissé or an attestation de prolongation d'instruction (API) to show my employer that my status is still valid and not lose my job. Is that something you get automatically or do you have to chase the préfecture for it?

Thanks in advance to anyone who's been through this 🙏

Bonjour,

Merci d'avance 🙏
