What to do with luggage?
I'll try this another way. During an 8 hour and 22 hour layover in PDL, what can I do with the luggage while I try to escape the airport and explore locally on Sao Miguel?

Flying to PDL and on to Pico same day Arrive PDL 6:45AM and Depart to Pico 16:50...Question? What local things can be seen during the approximately 10 hr layover? Realizing it's not 10 hrs free because of getting back to the airport to check in for flight to Pico. So more like 7 hrs free. And what can be done to securely store our carry on and checked bags during this time? Can the checked bags stay securely with Sata or do passengers have to take possession of them for the layover period? We'd prefer to be able to taxi out of the airport and do something with our time without dragging bags with us. I'll start another paragraph...
And a similar situation flying back out of Pico to PDL. Flying out of Pico to PDL in the evening with a 22 hour layover. Obviously, we'll make hotel reservations for the night. Then we have the entire next day until an 18:00 departure. Again what to do about checked luggage? Does Sata securely hang onto our checked bags for the next evening flight out or are we required to bring them with us to the hotel and what to do with the bags upon checking out of hotel (is that normally 11am?) I don't know if these seem like silly questions, but from my perspective they are not. It's just that we have some layover time both in and out of PDL and I'm wondering how we navigate around the area if we have bags in tow? Certainly others have gone through these scenarios so any advice would be appreciated.
Purchased new July of '25. Did what I thought was due diligence on lesser known and newer brand to the market (2019). The main appeal was affordability for a machine with upgrades costing $$$ on the established brands. Roof, winch, doors standard. Added front/rear plexi windows, side and rear mirrors. Love the machine! I don't go crazy riding, mud bogging. Just moderate trail riding.
So I put around 500 miles on it and had it serviced before winter. Had it parked outside under cover with a battery tender hooked up. Started it twice in December to let it run. Temps in the 20s and 30s. Then in Jan we had a 0 degree weather. I tried starting it wondering how it would handle it. Didn't go well. Third attempt heard a loud pop in engine area. Couple minutes later noticed oil streaming out from under it. The oil cooler housing burst a hole through the aluminum side. Fixed under warranty. So this spring there's been 2 more trips back to the dealer for leaks out the dipstick tube and the crank position sensor. Both turned out to be O ring issues. Thicker O rings fixed the dipstick tube and not sure on the crank position sensor. Anyway, the head mechanic informs me the dealership no longer sells Segways and ceased warranty work as well. Does this sound kosher? This machine came with a 2 year warranty and now in less than a year the dealer tells me I have to seek warranty work elsewhere, but they'll be happy to service it otherwise. It was all friendly and professional interactions. No anger or threats or anything else to that affect. Now I'm paranoid to even drive the thing for fear of any further issues.
And it won't be helpful to anyone trying the I told you so. Should have went with brand such and such. Because all and all there are so many posts on this forum with other brands having far worse issues with their machines than what I'm having with mine. I'm just mainly asking what others would do regarding the dealer bailing on the warranty. Is that legal? I'm going to call Segway US HQ and find out.
What a fiasco! You sign up for Wise using your full name. Your linked bank account is under your first name, middle initial, and last name. You almost successfully make an international transfer for accommodations for a 2 week vacation to Portugal. Oh, but it's held up because your full name doesn't match your name on your bank account. But there's a fix! No there isn't. It asks for a bank statement with bank name, your name, account numbers, etc. Are you F'ing kidding me? Sending my bank statement out into the WWW, yes a wise thing to do! But my bank statement has account #s XXXed out. You see why I just say DON'T USE IT in the first place.
