T-Mobile service in Azores?

Hi, We have T-Mobile service and while it's great for international travel in many countries (where the have negotiated agreements with local carriers), it's not everywhere. Has anyone got experience with this? We can get an eSIM if there's no coverage but it's a waste if there is.

What to do with luggage?

I'll try this another way. During an 8 hour and 22 hour layover in PDL, what can I do with the luggage while I try to escape the airport and explore locally on Sao Miguel?

Help us make a plan 🙏

My wife and 17 year old son and I will arrive in Ponta Delgada on Sunday July 26th, morning. We plan on checking into wherever we end up on Sao Miguel that day and hang out. We then have 4 1/2 days to look for adventure on the island before we fly to Pico for 3 nights and 4 days. We will definitely hike mount pico and we definitely want as much action and adventure as possible. We'd like to rappel, see whales, hike, etc.. what do you guys recommend for the most exciting and or the most off the beaten path type adventure?

Grocery store and/or market eats - Faial, Pico, Sao Miguel

Hi everyone,

Family of four (two teen boys who eat A LOT) are heading to the Azores for two weeks in August. We have Airbnb's with full kitchens booked in Horta, Sao Roque, and Ribeira Grande. One of our favourite things to do when we are abroad is to wander through food/produce markets and local grocery stores. AND, to keep costs down and tummies full, we'd like to prepare or cook most of our meals at home. We might do one meal out per island.

Breakfast - toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, etc.
Lunch - prepared sandwiches (either we've made at home or we've picked up from a grocery store), fruit, cut up vegetables
Dinner - roast chicken, perhaps some kind of prepared seafood dish, quick/prepared sides, etc.

Fortunately, we eat (and enjoy) EVERYTHING (no picky eaters here). Hubby has a battle with dairy but that doesn't stop the rest of us. :) From what I've read, soy milk is readily available at most of the larger supermarkets.

Could I kindy ask the lovely folks here to tell me what we could expect at the grocery stores and/or local markets that would help with our meals? AND are there any amazing food things we need to try?

THANK YOU!
