Brand new bike. Are these noises normal?

My bike is an Orbea Alma H30 2024. I bought it about a week ago, and it arrived 90% assembled, I only had to install the front wheel, handlebars, and seatpost.

I noticed that when I pedal, especially in gears 10–12, I can feel a vibration through the pedals. I can also visibly see the chain vibrating/wobbling while I pedal.

I also checked the rear wheel and there seems to be a very small amount of play if I force it from side to side.

And if you listen carefully, you can hear a weird, irregular sound from the rear wheel. I’m honestly not sure how to describe it, it almost sounds like the wheel isn’t running perfectly true or something is misaligned.

The important thing is that this has been happening since the very first time I rode the bike.

I have not ridden it aggressively or done anything that could have caused damage. I’ve only used it normally.

I contacted the company I bought it from, and they told me that they don’t do adjustments/tuning on bikes ordered online, only on bikes purchased physically at their store.

I’m honestly disappointed and I don’t know what to do. Is this normal, or does something actually seem wrong with the bike? What should I check first?

New bike - tiny rear hub play + fork lockout not engaging consistently. Is this normal?

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a brand-new Orbea Alma H30 XC 2024, and it arrived only 4 days ago.
I had it taken to a local bike shop for assembly (front wheel, seat post, handlebars, etc.).

However, they did not set the air pressure in the fork. I currently weigh around 105 kg, and I have already ridden the bike for a little over 50 km like this.

I have ordered a shock pump and will set the fork pressure properly once it arrives.
I have two things I am unsure about:

1. Very small amount of play in the rear wheel/hub

If I hold the rear wheel and gently force it towards myself and back, I can feel an extremely small amount of movement/play.

I can also feel a very subtle “click/clunk” through the wheel/hub. It is not really audible unless I pay very close attention.

The wheel spins normally, doesn’t rub against anything, and the bike rides normally. The play is microscopic, but I can definitely feel it when deliberately checking for it.

Is this normal hub play/tolerance, or should there be absolutely no movement?

2. Fork lockout lever doesn’t engage every time

The fork itself seems to work perfectly. However, the lockout lever does not always make the distinct “click/clunk” when I move it to the locked position.

The cable moves every time, but the lockout only engages when the lever actually clicks into position.

I have attached a video showing this.
The fork is a SR Suntour RAIDON 32 RLR, 100 mm, Boost.

I have not ridden the bike aggressively at all. I have been deliberately riding gently while waiting for the shock pump and some basic bike maintenance equipment (chain lubricant, etc.).

Since the bike is brand new, I’m wondering:
Are these things within normal tolerances?
Should I try adjusting anything myself?
Or would you recommend contacting the shop/store I bought the bike from and asking them to inspect it under warranty?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with this bike, fork, or similar hub/lockout issues.

Thanks!

I am a mobile player. Is this good?

I’ve been playing Geometry Dash for about 9 years (I’m not completely sure), but only last year I started playing more often. Recently, I beat my first 40 demons and started grinding stars.

In the past, I really enjoyed creating levels. I got inspired by other creators and I think I was quite creative too. Unfortunately, most of my levels are lost because the device I made them on is broken, and I never really had the chance to finish and publish them.

Nowadays, I prefer playing the game rather than creating levels. Do you think I’m a good player?
