Hypothesis: In a previous ********, humans found ******

No DLC Spoilers pls, haven't played yet.

>!Hypothesis: In the universe previous to the Nomai's, humans found the Eye and created a new universe.!<

>!My admittedly longshot Outer Wilds theory is that in the previous dying universe, humans found the Eye and entered it. At the end of the game we see that another universe is created in the image of the previous one, but not an exact copy. My silly theory is that humans found the Eye and then created a new universe in their image. !<

>!This would explain some of the crazy coincidences. Timber Hearth being practically a copy of Earth, having a moon and water and oxygen and life, anatomical similarities between life on Earth and life found in Outer Wilds, Earth time increments, etc. There is also a perplexing amount of cultural and anatomical similarities between humans and both Nomai and Hearthians. Plus, trees, cactus, anglerfish, and jellyfish are ripped straight out of Earth.!<

>!This would also explain some of the physics/science differences. Yes there are similarities between the previous universe, but it isn't a perfect copy. Gravity requires less mass to make a strong attraction. Black holes function as wormholes and also send things back in time instead of spaghettifying or whatever. I'm sure there are other examples that I'm not thinking of as well. But the science is close enough to be recognizable to humans in their own universe, but different enough that it makes the new universe unique. !<

>!The main counterargument will be that the similarities are for the sake of game convenience. The devs can't waste any time teaching us that, oh I don't know, the Nomai use a base 12 number system, or, a Hearthian year is actually 10 earth minutes. The devs had to have some of these coincidences to actually make the game work. Which, yeah. I get. !<

>!But imo my theory makes perfect sense with the continuity of the Outer Wilds world, and explains some of the coincidences in a solar system that otherwise refuses to hold your hand. (I also think that anglerfish, jellyfish, and plant similarities are just too great. Like the devs could've come up with ANY fantastical organism to discount this theory, and instead took replicas from Earth.)!<

But that's just a theory.

Melinoe's arbitrary morality

(Spoilers for the end of the game)

So I just rolled credits on Hades 2, and something has been bugging me. Melinoe gives Chronos another chance at life, she didn't feel right killing him if there was a chance at redemption.

But what about Typhon? Typhon is old and wise and can probably be persuaded. He deserves to see his son Cerberus again, play hide and seek with his little cyclops grandchildren, and sit in Echidna's lap while she calls him a good boy. Why didn't Melinoe even consider sparing Typhon when saving Chronos was so imperative?

Question about Romans 9

I want to preface this by saying I know God is good in all things, Paul makes this clear in the chapter, that he can do no injustice. My question is not to accuse God of that lol

I was just curious about Romans 9:18 - So then (God) has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

I know we in LCMS believe that one cannot truly make the decision to accept or reject Christ; that is the Spirit's doing. This idea is supported by this verse, God chooses who is saved. But then why are some people not granted mercy? As Paul mentions in the chapter, there is no lineage that gets special favor, and outside of God we are equally totally worthless. It's not like I can say that I'm less bad than anybody else, and that's why I have God's mercy and not my neighbor. How does God choose who he is merciful towards? Does everyone have a fair chance? If not, I have a hard time juxtaposing that with verses saying Jesus died for all of man. But I know that God is good in all things. Just hard to wrap my mind around.

Thanks in advance! God bless

I have hit a massive wall. I have done almost everything in the game, and have zero idea how to beat it lol.

As you can see by my ship log, I have completed almost everything there is to complete. I have absolutely no idea how to beat the game, break space time, anything at all. The only leads that I have are A) I might want to get to the central chamber of the Ash Twin project, zero idea how to get there. B) Get to the Vessel, zero idea how to get there. C) Find a little bit more info on the ruptured core, zero clue what I'm missing there. D) Something to do with the puzzle in the High Energy Lab that I have no clue how to solve. E) Maybe I missed something when I went to the 6th location of the Quantam Moon? I didn't think so though

Banger verse I have never heard get talked about, Nehemiah 1:11

Nehemiah 1:11 - "O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who DELIGHT TO FEAR YOUR NAME, and give success to your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man." (Context: Nehemiah is praying, repenting for Israel's/his sin and asking for mercy.)

Never thought about it as being delighted to fear God, but that is actually a great way to look at "fearing God." If you find actual satisfaction in obeying God out of fear (and love) for Him, Your relationship with God feels more personal and less transactional.

Rams: "I can't believe that we got Myles Garrett and have built a literal super team!" Browns: "I can't believe our franchise actually set us up nicely to get a QB and we also got a 2x pro bowler and DROY edge!" Myles Garrett: "I'm gonna win the Super Bowl!" Jared Verse:

All of SEAF Forces (Helldivers 2) vs all the Great Houses/Imperium Forces combined

SEAF forces are at the strength and size of the second galactic war. We'll assume they won and had peace for enough time to prep for a war of this scale.

Great Houses/Imperium are at the strength and size at the time Paul is emporer in Dune Messiah.

Both parties have access to all available tools and weapons (including things like prescience and FTL travel), but will research and expand their arsenal based on things they capture from the enemy. For the sake of convenience we'll say that laser based weapons in the Helldivers universe do not cause nuclear explosions when they contact a shield, but SEAF can acquire and use lasguns in that manner if they want.

Round 1: SEAF on defense, Great Houses on offense (Great Houses must take 51% of SEAF planets AND Super Earth to be considered a win)

Round 2: Great Houses on defense, SEAF on offense (SEAF must take 51% of the Great Houses planets AND Arrakis for it to be considered a win)

Round 3: Neutral Galaxy (whoever holds more planets at the end of a 100 year conflict, or if the other force retreats)
