Just for clarification (because somebody asked previously), the category "changed my life" means the game either stuck with me for years and years, or actually made me reconsider my view of the outside world. If you understand what I mean.

If you guys have any questions, let me know! I'll be happy to discuss in the comments 😄

EDIT: I included Dispatch just because of the dispatch part of the game which I personally found thinky (and I kept getting all sweaty LMAO) but I will understand if people don't feel the same way about it.

Disclaimer: this is all my personal opinion, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also I apologize for any grammar errors, because English is my second language

Hello everyone,

I really want to try going deeper in Poppy Playtime, and I in fact would already have if it was not for how much these chapters cost. I didn't have that much of a problem paying 8€ for the second chapter when it came out, but now that the chapters cost 20€, this game is getting on the very expensive side, we're talking even more expensive than your standard Nintendo game and even those are heavily under fire for how expensive they are. I can't get myself to buy even one more chapter, because I know I could buy Hollow Knight Silksong instead and get ten times more value. I think I'll consider buying chapter three, because it's 9€ with the bundle discount, but I sadly think this is it from me and this game... 😞

Right now the whole game costs around 60€, for the five chapters. But here is the catch - it seems like nobody knows the final amount of chapters, it seems like the developers did not announce the number. What this means is that they could easily release five or even more chapters for 20€ each and have the final game cost 160+€ which is, let's face it - way, way too much money for a single game. I'd go even as far as to call this predatory. But for the people who already are buying all chapters as they launch it is too late - they'll continue buying them to see how the story ends because they are already hooked, before realizing how much money it all cost, leaving a bitter aftertaste after it's all over.

Dispatch/Bendy/Minecraft Story Mode also had episodic formats, but unlike Poppy Playtime you didn't have to pay 20€ per chapter, you bought the game ONCE and received the chapters as free updates as they released. They could have made chapter one a free demo, start the game at 20€ with chapters 2+3 and raise the price by 5€ every time a new chapter released for up to maybe 40€ for the full game. I can imagine they are generating an insane amount of money from selling merchandise and other products, so funding definitely would not be an issue even if the game was sold for a fraction of the current pricing.

I'm sure this is a very fun game, but this is way too much money on the line. 😞

Hey everybody, I decided I want to get back into the game and challenge the One Life mode, but I keep getting annoying stutters every 2-3 seconds. I have RTX 3060 and Intel Core i9 with 32 gigs of RAM, so this game should definitely run without stuttering on these specs. They are those quick 10 FPS drops but they are definitely noticeable and incredibly annoying, and like I said, they happen every two to three seconds. This would happen to me years ago and keeps happening now as well. I tried getting support on the Ori discord server, but failed miserably so I thought I could try here as well.

I tried playing Ori 2 and the original also and none of these games have this issue and they run completely fine, its the DE that has this.

Thanks for your ideas

More of a vent post. Unfortunately, I can't get past the uplay login screen. It simply does not work and I give up. In 100% of the cases it shows an error (check your internet connection, even tho my internet is completely alright) when I try logging in. My question is why do these companies implement these anti consumer measures when Rayman Legends is literally a singleplayer platformer. It ain't the next counter strike smh. I'm sure I would have loved the game, though. Looks very adorable and I like platformers.
