Are you self-diagnosed or clinically diagnosed?

I'm self diagnosed. started suspecting when I was 19. went down a rabbit hole and everything just made sense. it was like reading someone's observations of me. it mentioned a lot of things I did when I was a kid, and looking back, I was definitely different from other kids. Tried different therapists, but all I got was nonsense.

You cannot be autistic because autism is for children.

You cannot be autistic because you have a job (I was fired from jobs before and only have my current job because it is remote with minimum interaction)

You cannot be autistic as you don't look autistic/disabled.

Do you identify yourself as Autistic Person or Person with Autism?

I prefer to identify my self as an autistic person rather than a person with autism. I think I'm autistic because that is how my brain is wired, not because I have something called autism.

I'm in my late 20s so maybe my experience as someone on the younger side is affecting my decision.

Which do you prefer for yourself? How old are you, if you feel comfortable sharing this piece of information?

Which one of your senses is the most sensitive?

Hearing is the most sensitive sense for me. I always wear my airpods pro with active noise cancellation on when I go out. I even sometimes wear them at home without having anything on, even though I live alone.
