Hope, Fear and Waffles!

The best thing about it is, tomorrow I'll have another daggerheart teaching session where some new players try an oneshot for the first time. The timing is perfect and I've received the Hope and Fear box today.

The second best thing: It came with Manner waffles (the pink packaging). It was in the delivery box. That's adorable! I don't know exactly why they delivered it with waffles, but I thought it was cute.

I wanted to ask: do you incorporate the rulings from Hope and Fear already in your adventures? What do you think about the add-on?

I wanted to teach Daggerheart to my students

Hello my fellow Daggerhearters.

I'm a teacher at a middle-to-high school in Austria with an international speciality, and we tend to play Dungeons and Dragons together over multiple sessions. We finished our 3-Year-spacefaring campaign this school year, and I'm planning to go next level.

This leads me to Daggerheart. I have already started and tried some sessions with some different one-shot players, and I'm doing an ongoing campaign where my players (not my students) are right now Level 4, and we'll be finishing the campaign at the start of school (we're a group of teachers). I am very fond of the system, enjoy the ins and outs of it, and I believe that my students would love the system.

Since I'm not sure whether I will get my D&D classes paid this year, I was wondering. Should I try offering the students their first experience in Daggerheart? And how should I do this?

Which witches are your paragons?

I'm reading right now Lords and Ladies from Terry Pratchett, and it led me to an interesting question I wanted to think about.

Since we are learning from our past selves, and from people that are connected with us, I wanted to ask what specific witches have influenced you in being a witch?

For example, one of my favourite "witches" is one of my colleagues, who wants to make the school where I work at a better place for the children by providing food. She didn't give up and made the school a better place with it. Another one is Granny Weatherwax, who I'm reading right now, and feel like she is a good paragon of witchiness. Similarly, Ada Lovelace motivated me in becoming a teacher.

Who was it with you? Were it feminist icons, or people that motivated you in your life? Or were it witches from books, media, or anywhere else?

Some other form of seasonal greetings

I've seen this hidden under a bridge and I thought I should share it with you.
