In fact, it was one of its abilities

I wonder what Kubo planned for his bankai. The sad look on his face and the quote seems to say that it was purely destructive.

PS : I wonder, does the stitch from his fight with Askin remained on his face after the fight ?

Rereading Bleach : I'm sad this panel isnt more popular.

I loved this panel so much as a child. At this time I thought that this training was what created White and that OMZ was truly his zanpakuto.

But for god sake, the panel is SO COOL

Merci d'avance !

Why there is minority charge carrier ?

Hello everyone !

I'm looking into how an enhancement-mode NMOS works. From what I've seen: we take a silicon substrate and dope it with Boron (creating holes), then create two regions doped with Phosphorus (creating free electrons).
Recombination around the N-regions creates a depletion zone. For the gate, we use an insulator, so when we apply a voltage VGS, free electrons in the silicon are sucked to the gate to create a conductive path.

My question is: why are there free electrons in the silicon when the body is P-type? My guess is that thermal energy frees electrons, which get sucked up by VGS before they can recombine. But I'm not sure...

And bonus question, why do we connect the source and the body ?

I'm completely lost about batteries

Hello everyone!

I'm working on a project that basically consists of an ESP32 (no WiFi, no BLE), a GPS receiver, 2 or 3 sensors, and a small stepper motor (the 858 on DigiKey). Everything needs to fit in the hand.

My final challenge is choosing the power source, and I'm completely lost. LiPo? Li-Ion? AA batteries?

I don’t know what to choose or how to choose it. And it looks soooo expensive!

I’ve written down a few parameters that seem important to me, but I’m not even sure they’re the right ones:

  • Everything runs on 3.3V, so I need something like a 3.7V battery?
  • When the ESP32 and the motor turn on, there will be high peak current. I need a power source whose voltage won’t drop too much.
  • It should be small enough.
  • Rechargeable if possible.
  • I estimate the system will consume a maximum of 100mA (except during startup peaks). So I was thinking at least 800–1000mAh.

I’m not sure if I’m missing important points, or how I should choose the right battery chemistry and capacity based on these requirements.

And also: it’s expensive as heeeeeell.
The batteries I’ve seen cost almost as much as my whole PCB (components included). I know there are economies of scale, but how can the complete device sell for ~15 bucks when the battery alone costs 10 bucks?

Electronic compass

Hello,

I'm trying to build an electronic compass. I will enter coordinates in this compass, then it will read our position with a GPS module, calculate in which direction we should go to and then point the direction with "an arrow" (It won't be a route, but the direction as the crow flies).

To move the arrow I wanna use a small motor (same as car odometer), something like the X27.168. To works I need to read the direction I'm looking at, and for that I need to read the magnetic field of the Earth (I think ?) and I'm scared that the motor will make too much noise and will prevent the reading.

Do you guys think it will a problem ? If it is, how can I prevent this ?

Thank you
