HELP. PLEASE. STUPID LINUX AND VROID STUDIO DELETE MY FILES. HELP.

I'm on linux and I've spent the past week making a model, laying down all the texture locations ect to go to my phone and clean them up all nice and slap em back on my model and make it look good.

I save them and go to send them to myself and THEY ARE MOWEHRRE TO BE FOUND. THE SAVED PNGS JUST DISAPPEAR. GONE. I SAVED THEM 20 TIMES. I TRY TO SEND THEM FROM THE UBUNTU FILE MANAGER THEY ARENT THERE. WHERE ARE THEY. I TYPE IN THEIR NAME THEY APPARENTLY DON'T EXIST.

THE ONLY WAY THE STUDIO LETS ME SAVE THE FILES IS THRU THIS LIL WINDOW AND THEN WHEN I SAVE ITS GONE

ITS NOT ON IN MY FILES

I SAVED IT AS A CUSTOM ITEM TOO AND ITS TECHNICALLY THERE BUT ONLY AS A THUMBNAIL AND SOMETHING CALLED TRANSFERABLE GROULS AND TRANSFERABLES AND META JSON AND IDK WHAT IM LOOKING AT IM ABOUT TO ACTUALLY LOOSE IT IF I JUST WASTED A WHOLE WEEK MAKING SOMETHING ON LINUX ONLY FOR THE STUDIO TO NOT COMPREHEND THAT ITS AN EXISTING OS AND IM UNABLE TO DO ANYTHIMG WITH THE MODELS IVE SPENT SO LONG CREATING

PLEASE HELP IM HAVING A MENTAL BREAKDOWN OVER ALL OF THIS

life has been insanely stressful and this is one of the things that kept me sane but I guess not

I posted a few days ago saying that I have problems with vrchat. Since then I completely uninstalled steam and reinstalled it, and tried to install some other games from my library.

Again, my steam creates 30 icons of the game in the 'show apps' section of ubuntu and when I click play under any of my installed videogames, it launches, opens for a split second and closes back down on its own. I get stuck in a loop of clicking play and games closing on me.

I originally installed steam through the terminal, and it worked for a while then broke like this after my computer crashed.

Since then it stopped working. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it through the app centre and it again doesn't work. The only thing I can now think to try is uninstall again and download through the terminal again, but I highly doubt it'll do anything at all.

I want to play video games but I geniuenly don't know what to do anymore, my steam is so broken and I'm stressing out idk will I have to buy a windows computer with a working steam I don't have the money please what do I do how do I fix this I even tried the pfs or pfx fix I found online and it did nothing, I'm so desperate, can anyone help me troubleshoot, my DMs are open please

I realized I can't add photos but basically, what happened is when I open 'show apps', it made 30 copies of steam

Like the icon reappears over and over again

And 50 copies of vrchat

I dont know how to get rid of them and if that woulf fix anything, if I should just wipe steam from my computer and redownload it (would that delete all the excess icons too?) And if steam isnt the problem, why isnt vrchat working? What happens is it opens, it starts loading and when it full screens it just closes in less than a second

Again, idk if deleting the 50 icons would do anything, how to do it, ect

Please help because its the only laptop I have for playing video games with my boyfriend and since I switched to linux Ive just had issue after issue and as a total computer caveman I can't figure out how to fix them, please help! Also please explain things in basic terminology if possible I am very unaware and unsavvy, apologies

Hi there, I'm here cuz I want to hear any recommendations for a specific kind of horror and puzzle games me and my boyfriend could play, since we have a problem with a lot of the horror games we found. I'll specify. First for horror games.

We tried a few different ones I've seen recommended around, such as the devouring (doubles as a puzzle game), smile room, haunted asylum, and a map that is very similiar to phantasmaphobia, I forgot the name (something house).

I'll focus on the smile room as an example cuz I believe it's a good one to rep the problem we had.

We loved the first part where it focused heavily on P.T. kind of horror, grim and creepy atmosphere, the world around you morphing and messing with your perception ect. But then came the 'annoying' parts, hide and seek, running around in a maze, ect, we didn't even see what was in the last door cuz my boyfriend quit before. He really dislikes those types of horror games where it's a lot of trial and error or platforming ect. It stops being fun to him. Same with when you're getting chased around constantly like in haunted asylum for example, we quit a few minutes in.

Are there any horror games that feel more like a terrifying experience rather than a trial and error avoid the monster kind of game? I'm fine with those but I want to be able to play the games with my bf aswell, so I'd really love to hear any recommendations. Maybe something more story focused or purely puzzle focused.

Speaking of puzzle games... we had a similiar problem. We loved the 'thinking' aspect of it and loved figuring out what to do and how to solve things, but it feels like every puzzle game we tried had a 'platforming section'. I'm alright but my boyfriend is bad at them and struggles to get through them.

For example with The devouring, we had a ton of fun until the water section where he struggled to progress and we quit, then there was Pop escape where it was super fun until the laser section where you had to switch out the gems and both of us struggled there, and I'm going to include Noir Nocturne here because the puzzle and athmosphere aspects of the game were great, but then the second half of the game came along which was just stealth + running from the monster and he once again couldn't complete it so he just watched me play through it solo.

Sorry for the long winded yap, I'm a bit sleep deprived and can't focus on checking through the text again. And thank you for the anwsers :)

TDLR:

Are there any horror or puzzle games that don't have platforming or in case of horror games the aspects of 'evading the monster' trial and error?
