I jest I love all birds but downy so very common I have tons of photos but want to get a hairy and this rings up correctly I believe, was nearly jay sized and the beak to head ratio is closing on 50:50. Corvallis Oregon at peavy arboretum 6/29/26

I got this cute bench with umbrella from Amazon in order to deter the squirrels from the hooks with bird feeders and it actually works, but the birds have had it! Enough of the raiding has happened against bird feeders it’s high time to ransack the squirrel feeder!!!! Loved by all, welcome to all, very few will share 😂 towhee is adorable but kind of a nuisance as it scratches all the feed to the ground as shown in pic but they then eat it there too at least 🤣

Suspect identified, witnesses on scene identify a brown bird wearing lighter colored front side and camouflaged RealTree™ camo outfit. Posture, antics, description of long beak and high pitch sound and nimble acrobatics authorities on the matter quickly identified the perp as a “brown creeper” not known to be in this neighborhood but word on the street is year round feeders in the backyard!

Merlin said unlikely Anna’s visit today with a rufous and a … wait that’s a chickadee 😆

They were all in a row on a single power line structure

Starting off strong with the sparrow glare, into a marsh wren attack followed by a hard two swallow common yellow throats curiosity of a wrentit eye balling me but only half as hard a the barn swallow with the death glare 😳 🥺 what a fantastic day for birding and the wrentit was a lifer 😊
