How to polish/restore scratches on red oak flooring?

Hi;

I noticed a few scratches on our red oak floor recently. The first photo is when it’s dry and 2nd is when it’s wet. Is there any product I can use to quickly polish/restore the area? Like Bona Restorer?

Thank you

Leaving contamination/specks as they are - long term negative effect on window?

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I had my window tinted for the first time, just the front 2 door windows. The shop seems to be a reputable shop in the area, with good Google reviews and have been around for 20+ years.

The first time they did it, it seems like they did the "easy" way (the shop owner admitted) and left quite a bit of contamination. I went back to the shop and they redid it, with good attitude and promise that they will do it properly this time. But the 2nd time, there is still some contamination/specks, although much better than the first time.

I dont really have the time to go to the shop again, and more importantly, I don't have the confidence that they will do a better job the 3rd time. So I think I will just leave the tint as they are.

My question is, are there any negative effect on the window if I just leave them for the long term? These spots don't effect my driving, just a little bit annoying that they are there, and hopefully these annoyance will go away with time.

The first two photos show the specks on the driver side window. The last photo shows the contamination on the passenger side. The film is Xpel Black and I paid $200 for the two windows.

How many units for "upper face" botox?

This is my first time doing botox. I went in with full intention of doing "just a little bit", but somehow ended up doing 52 units.

I did 3 areas:
forehead for the horizontal lines about 22 units, 11 between brows about 18 units, and crow's feet 12 units for both sides.
I asked if this is considered average and they told me this is on the light side. And I paid $15 per unit which is average for my area although there are some places that only charge $12.

What do you guys think?

First time botox: Injector/aesthetic NP or dermatologist doctor?

Hi,

I am considering botox for the time first. Most of my friends have never done it and have no interest, exept for one who recommended her injector to me. I Googled the person and on Instagram she listed her credentials as LPN and on the medspa's website she was listed as ["aesthetic nurse injector" ]. Google reviews are good and many commented that she's had decades of experience. I went ahead and made an appoint with her.

However, a couple of my friends who've never done Botox mentioned to me that I should do it with the dermatologist/plastic surgeon instead of a nusre/injector. They said that the doctors would be better trained for injecitons as they understand facial anatomy better?

What do you guys think? I just cannot get to much personal experiences around me. Also, when booking I mentioned on the phone that I intend to get injection that day, and they said "okay so no consultation". So now Im not sure if i should book a consultation first?

Thank you for your input in advance!

What do you consider an acceptable job?

I recently had my front door window tinted, this is the first time I'm doing tinting.
The first time they did it there was a lot of contamination, but the shop had a really good attitude about it and redid it quickly. This time, Im noticing a couple of specks. It is not too noticeable unless you really inspect carefully, but they are on the driver side at eye level, and now that I know they are there I kept on trying to look for them lol

I dont think it's worth the shop's or my time to get them redo again. I am just wondering what do you consider as the industry standard. A couple of specks should still be considered acceptable? Would you recommend a shop with this quality of service?

My procedure is at 9:20am, and I’m wondering if I can drive in the evening at around 6:30pm, a short 15min trip. I asked the doctors office and they said I should not drive at all on procedure day, but I’m wondering if they are just being extra cautious?

Did anyone drive on the same day?

Thank you

Hi all,

My procedure is going to be at 9:20am, and they instructed that my last meal would be the day prior, breakfast by 9am. After that, clear liquid only until 4 hours before procedure, then nothing at all. So pretty much fasting for 24 hours.

My first does of Dulcolax is at 3pm on prep day, then miralx starts at 4pm.

Is this similar to your prep instructions?

*Update*
Thank you for all those who replied!
I just spoke to the clinic again and and they said they had a cancellation tomorrow and are able to add Enscopy together with colonoscopy!
Best of luck to everyone who will be having it soon. My prep starts at 3pm today.....quite nervous but glad I found this sub!

Hi all,

I know there have been previous posts regarding having colonoscopy and endoscopy on the same day, but I have a different issue. Currently I have colonoscopy scheduled for later this week, and endoscopy scheduled for the summer. When I discussed with the doctor, I asked about doing them together or separately, and he said there are pros and cons with both, and didnt recommend either way. Now I am thinking of doing them together, but the doctor just recommended that I do the colonoscopy first because he cannot add endoscopy on the scheduled date this week, and he says it's better to just do the colonoscopy first instead of postpone and reschedule to do both together.

I am wondering if anyone has done both not on the same day, how far apart did you schedule the procedures? The doctor did not mention restrictions regarding the timing and I will confirm with him again, but wanted to hear inputs from folks here who've done it already. Is it a bad idea not to do them together?

Thank you

Hi all,

Got my front two door windows tinted last Wednesday and noticed some tiny bubbles. mostly near the bottom but there are quite a lot of them on both windows. I’m hoping they’re just moisture bubbles that’ll disappear over time 🤞 It’s been almost a week (Tuesday is when I took the video) and a mix of rainy days (car in the garage) and sunny days (parked outside). Is this normal, or should I be concerned? What do you think of this tint job?

Thank you
