Forest River Rockwood Support Posts

We recently purchased this trailer. I watched a video from Forest River demonstrating how to set up a pop up. In the video they install support posts. Our trailer didn't come with support posts. Stupid question probably, but do we need them?

2021 Forest River Rockwood Freedom Beeping

First things first, total noobie here. Bought our first trailer a couple of weeks ago.

We have a beep on a regular cadence at around 5 minutes. Did some searching on the internet and read a lot about low 12 volt battery being the culprit. I thought if I plugged the camper into shore power that would solve the problem. Got my 15 amp to 30 amp dog bone today. Plugged it into my garage plug. Plugged the trailers power cable into into the dog bone and into the side of the trailer. There's a little blue light illuminated on the trailer's power cable so I think I've done this correctly but I still have the beep.

Reading some advising to disconnect the battery but thought to ask this forum for some advice first. Thanks.

Need a little intel on Billy's shows this tour

I have tix to see Billy in Fort Worth in December. I'm very excited. This will be my first show.

My wife is coming with me and that's why I need some help. She enjoys live music and likes a variety of music. What she doesn't like is jam bands. I'm a dead head and she cannot tolerate my listening to a 25 minute Help/Slip/Frank. I took her to see TTB and it didn't go well. The show was much more free form than the first two times I saw them. I loved the extended jams but it was more than she could tolerate.

I'm reading about Billy jamming which is to be expected. If the jams are acoustic and more in the blue grass vein I think she will be fine. However if he is plugged in and it is more like Derek than Del McCoury I don't think she will enjoy the show.

Just a little more context. When we saw TTB, Molly Tuttle opened. She did a bit of jamming with her great band. Typical blue grass stuff back and forth between guitar and fiddle. She liked Molly a lot.

I really want my wife to join me but not if she's going to be miserable. Thanks for the help.

Buying Our First Travel Trailer

I recently retired and my wife and I are ready to start our adventures. We are going to start with a pop up and see where we want to go from there. We are looking at a 2022 Forest River Flagstaff. The dealer has recommended a Camping Essentials package for $292.71. It includes: Silverback Sewer 20' kit, Smart Surge SSP, RV Start Up Kit Aquafresh, Commando Black Tank Clean and some toilet paper.

Some quick searching of the internet tells me I can buy all of these things on my own for less than the dealer has priced them. Other than the toilet paper, which I know I need, do I need these other things? Thanks.

My wife wants outlets along the deck

The picture is an outlet that is part of my gate motor.  The motor is about 22 feet from where the deck starts and is my closest source of electricity to the deck.

The line coming up into the gang box is the incoming 120 wiring.  The line coming out of the top of the box goes to an on/off switch for the gate motor that I have never used.  It is possible technicians have used it when servicing the gate motor.  I have never used the outlet.

My initial thought is to remove the outlet and the gang box.  I would replace the gang box with an outdoor gang box with two holes on the bottom and one on top.  The first hole would receive the 120 wiring and the top would go up to the switch.  I would pigtail my new wire for the deck in the new gang box and run it through the second bottom hole to conduit that would run to the deck.   I would put an electrical box cover on the gang box.

From there I would run the conduit along the deck with two to three outlets.  I believe that outlet in the gate motor box should be GFCI so I would use a weatherproof gang box with a GFCI outlet as the first outlet.

Any flaws in my approach?  My experience is mostly replacing outlets, switches, fixtures.  I don’t think any of this is beyond me skill wise but want to make sure I am doing this correctly.
