Was on the farewell organization team, and I love to paint and do crafts.

How should I present them and which ones?
So, I have a group of friends from my teenage years who still live in a city I moved away from.
Their birthdays all fall on different dates, I always make sure to send them individual nice gifts and all that. However, for my last birthday, they just collectively ordered some munchies for me. While some of them were my favorites, it was still just… food. My birthday was a little while ago this year, and they did the same thing—they sent one collective courier again with some handmade stuff and pictures. I obviously appreciate the gesture and the sentiment, but I can’t help but feel a certain way about it. I feel like I put in money for them individually and then not really get that same energy in return. I really don’t want to be "money minded" or ungrateful. But i was so disappointed by this. And no I don't really wanna tell them that they should give me this or that for my bday, I like being surprised but not the disappointing kind :(
