My boyfriend and I are planning an 18-day road trip through France, Switzerland, and Italy next May. We’ll be renting a campervan from roadsurfer and will be picking up/dropping of in Paris.

This will be our first big Europe road trip, so I’d love opinions on whether our route and pacing seem realistic!

Itinerary:

Day 1: Paris
Day 2: Paris
Day 3: Paris → Colmar
Day 4: Colmar → Swiss Alps
Day 5: Swiss Alps
Day 6: Swiss Alps
Day 7: Swiss Alps
Day 8: Swiss Alps
Day 9: Swiss Alps → Dolomites
Day 10: Dolomites
Day 11: Dolomites
Day 12: Dolomites → Florence
Day 13: Florence
Day 14: Tuscany/Siena
Day 15: Tuscany → Annecy
Day 16: Annecy
Day 17: Annecy → Paris
Day 18: Fly home

We know there are a few long driving days, particularly Switzerland → Dolomites and Tuscany → Annecy, and we're okay with having a couple of days that are mostly dedicated to driving.

We're most interested in scenery, hiking/nature, and just experiencing the different areas rather than trying to see every major tourist attraction.

Does this route seem reasonable for 18 days? Are we spending too much or too little time anywhere? And is there anything about this route that you would change? Thank you!!!

Anyone have any tips/advice for a possible middle school first year health teacher? I’m starting to apply to jobs so tell me everything I need to know!

I’m 21 and recently graduated from UF with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, but the pay has honestly always been what stopped me from pursuing it. I originally went down the healthcare route because I wanted a stable career with decent earning potential and work-life balance.
Lately, though, I keep coming back to teaching and wondering if I’m making the wrong choice by not pursuing something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m considering getting my Florida teaching certificate and trying to become a teacher, but I’m nervous about the reality of the job, especially as someone who has no teaching experience and is only 21.
After some research, I learned that I can teach health (K-12) or Science (6-12). I would love to teach a health class for middle schoolers or late elementary. I have also looked into substitute teaching to see what it’s like. Any advice for me? Thank you!

my boyfriend and i originally planned on doing a 16 day road trip from paris to rome, but after doing more research, it looks like roadsurfer doesn't offer one way trips in europe besides a select few to germany. does anyone have any experience with this issue? were you able to book a one way trip by calling them and arranging one? or does anyone have any other company recommendations if roadsurfer is no longer an option for us. thank you!

Anyone hear back yet? I know they said on or around the 30th but I’ve heard multiple days being thrown around. An advisor told me the 17th but I didn’t get anything. Really hoping I get in!

Hello! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip for next year, we are thinking September. Our plan is to start in Paris and stay for a couple nights in a hotel or Airbnb, then pick up a rental van through Roadsurfer or Indie Campers and drive all the way to Rome. We would stop in Colmar, Annecy, Interlaken/Grindelwald, the Dolomites, Florence, then end in Rome. About 17 days total. Any advice on this route, the rental van companies, or just overall tips? I just applied and I’m really hoping to get in to one of them. Anyone on here attend Santa Fe and have any advice? Also what were your stats when you got in?

As a backup if I don’t get in, I am interested in Diagnostic Medical sales and think i have a good foundation for that. Does anyone have any advice for me with either of these paths? I know they are very different careers so I’m wondering what my next steps should be

Basically I just graduated from UF with a BS in Health Science and need a full time job for the next 6-9 months before starting grad school. I’ve applied to many entry level healthcare positions but nothing seems to stick. I unfortunately don’t have my CNA or CMA license so I know that disqualifies me from a lot. Any suggestions or advice would help. Thanks
