What’s a Formula 1 opinion you’ve changed your mind about?

I’ll start.

A few years ago I thought driver talent was the biggest factor in winning championships.

Now I think the car plays a much larger role than I originally gave it credit for.

What’s an F1 opinion you’ve completely changed your mind on?

I genuinely don’t know if a 22-0 season is possible

A few weeks ago I built a small F1 draft game where you assemble a team using drivers from different eras and simulate a championship.

https://22-0.app

The goal sounds simple:

22 races.

22 wins.

A perfect season.

When I launched it, I assumed people would achieve it fairly quickly.

Instead, most runs seem to end somewhere between 17-5 and 20-2.

My best record so far is 20-2.

At this point I’m genuinely unsure whether 22-0 is actually possible.

If anyone here manages it, post a screenshot and your driver lineup.

I’d love to see which combination finally cracks the code.

What’s the most underrated driver season ever?

Everyone talks about:

  • Verstappen 2023
  • Hamilton 2020
  • Vettel 2013

What’s a season that doesn’t get nearly enough recognition?

Personally I’d nominate Alonso 2012.

I think most F1 fans massively underrate Vettel’s peak

Whenever people discuss dominant seasons, the conversation usually becomes:

Hamilton vs Verstappen.

Meanwhile Vettel 2013 gets treated like an afterthought.

Nine wins in a row. Dominated the second half of the season.

Honestly, if I had one pick to try and go 22-0, Vettel would be near the top of my list.

Am I alone here?

I built a tiny F1 game instead of another AI SaaS

For the last few months, every idea I wrote down was some variation of:

  • AI tool
  • AI assistant
  • AI automation

So I challenged myself to build something completely different.

I ended up launching:

https://22-0.app

A simple F1 game where you draft drivers from different seasons and try to achieve a perfect 22-0 championship.

The interesting part wasn’t building it.

It was realizing how much harder distribution is than development.

A few lessons so far:

  • The challenge is the product.
  • Shareability matters more than features.
  • Getting people to care is harder than getting something to work.

Would love feedback from other MicroSaaS builders: How do you know when a side project is worth doubling down on?

Max Verstappen 2023 isn’t as overpowered as I thought

While building an F1 draft simulator, I assumed Verstappen 2023 would automatically dominate.

Nope.

I still couldn’t go 22-0.

Now I’m curious:

If your goal was to win every race, who would be your first pick?

Hamilton 2020? Schumacher 2004? Vettel 2013? Verstappen 2023?

Game for context:

Built a Formula 1 game over a weekend — looking for feedback before I keep building

Trying to ship more and overthink less.

Just launched 22-0: https://22-0.app

The goal is simple:

🏎️ Draft drivers from different F1 seasons 🏁 Simulate a championship 🏆 Try to go 22-0

A few early lessons:

  • The challenge is more compelling than the gameplay explanation.
  • F1 fans love debating driver choices.
  • Score-sharing seems to drive the most engagement.

Would love some feedback from fellow builders and F1 fans. What would make you come back and play again? 👀

I built a game where you draft F1 drivers from different eras and try to go 22-0

I’m a huge F1 fan and always wondered:

What if you could build the ultimate team using drivers from completely different seasons?

So I built a small browser game where you draft random drivers and teams, then simulate an entire championship.

The goal is simple:

22 races. 22 wins.

I thought it would be easy.

My best run is 20-2.

Would love feedback from fellow F1 fans
