I recently had an interview with one of the professors from Tohoku, but I got the rejection mail today. Now, I am really scared whether I will get the LoPA or not.

I have another interview lined up and I don't know whether I will be able to perform well. If I get rejected there as well, I don't even know if I can apply for more than two times before the deadline.

To make it worse, on impulse, I applied to another university and missed uploading certain documents lmao. Now I have to wait for them to reject it or respond to my inquiry mail.

Considering how long it takes for the university central system for LoPA processing, the whole thing seems very shaky for me.

I understand this is part of the application process, but it's still frustrating. Also, sorry for the rant lol.

Edit: India - Research Student

I ordered the XTEINK X4 pro three weeks ago and it got delivered today. The screen is damaged out of the box.

The packing was horrible. There is no packing material or whatsoever. Only one layer of cardboard box.

I want to get a replacement or refund. Is it possible?

Has anyone ever faced similar issues related to courier or delivery and got it resolved ? please share your experience.

Ordered through XTEINK webpage and delivered to India.

I gave the local address forgetting that the courier has to go through customs. I don't have any proof for the address I gave. I want to change it or cancel the order.

Unfortunately, the only way to do either of them is through the mail (xteink@support.com). Has anyone had any similar issues and got resolved ?

If I can't cancel or change the shipping address, I am not gonna get the parcel nor am I going to get a refund.

Embassy route - India and research category

I am still waiting for my embassy interview. It's in 4 days. Following that, they have to let me know of the results. Then, I have to receive the application I submitted to the embassy. (Assuming through courier ).

If everything happens by the end of this month, then I am left with exactly one month for getting an acceptance letter from the University. This is a crazy timeline.

Sorry for the rambling. If everyone ever dealt with such a short timeline, please do share how it worked out for you.

I recently applied for a PhD scholarship and got shortlisted. To proceed further, I need to provide a recommendation letter.

I was in contact with two scientists whom I worked with. One of the scientists didn't submit the recommendation letter last time I applied, even though he agreed to do so.

​

So I lost one of the contacts and didn't contact him further. This time, I am applying for a PhD and I always kept the other scientist informed. And he even asked me to do some work for him from home, which I complied.

But now that I have asked for a recommendation letter, he is not responding properly. Maybe he will respond at the last minute but I also need a hardcopy for the application. I might run out of time.

Recommendation letters are a nightmare if you are from a third world country. I am really frustrated that student lives can be decided on other people's moods.

​

I understand that there is a follow up after the application process such as interviews. But this time, I got shortlisted in the one round out of three. The following round is examination, which I am pretty confident about. My chances are better this time. If I can't get the recommendation letter, I can't attend the examination.

The application process is kinda murky but the point is getting a LOR is one of the most frustrating things throughout it.
