Charged ₹1699 for a replacement physical SIM (NRI owner). Did I get scammed and how do I complain?

My physical SIM was deactivated due to a technical glitch in the Airtel Thanks app during an eSIM upgrade. I went to the airtel store in Hyderabad. The airtel employee explicitly told me the app eSIM process is broken and they don't allow customers to do it themselves.

The number is registered to my brother, who is currently in the US. The employee took my brother's NRI documents via WhatsApp to process a manual SIM replacement.

He charged me ₹1699 for this new physical SIM (I was stressed about losing my number so paid him quickly without thinking much, it was only few days later when I researched about it and learned that the cost for new Sim is usually 50-200 rupees).

It took 7 to 8 days to get a working sim, but the network finally activated and I can make calls and use mobile data now.

My questions:

Is ₹1699 the official Airtel fee for processing a manual NRI SIM replacement, or did this employee pocket the money? I read the official cost is ₹50.

What is the exact escalation path to report this specific employee for extortion and get a refund? The 198/121 IVR bots are useless for store-level complaints.

Please do share what I should do next?

How do we tell him?

Soldier boy from Season 3, and Soldier Boy from Season 5 feel different.

This soldier boy of season 5 in writing/dialogues feels like Cate's imagination from Gen V Season 1.

Butcher in the early seasons was absolutely ruthless, he was hell-bent on killing every supe that crossed his path.

In Season 4 especially, after seeing how dangerous Ryan could be, Butcher fully embraced his dark side. He brutally butchered Victoria Neuman in the finale and looked like a man who was ready to rack up a massive body count of supes in the next season.

Now, six episodes into Season 5, what have we seen? Butcher has killed his weak, cancer-stricken father and one human guard at the concentration camp. He came close to killing Cindy too, but Homelander stopped him. Rock Hard and Jetstreak were taken out by the virus, with the whole team involved... not by Butcher personally.

Shockingly, his venom-like tentacle powers still haven’t killed a single supe this season. Even crazier is the Vought Village scene in episode 6, we had the perfect opportunity for him to massacre those elderly supes, but when Kimiko asked him not to kill them, he actually listened. Instead of unleashing his rage, he focused on just knocking them out. It felt strangely merciful and far too restrained for Butcher.

What the hell is happening? Butcher needs to start annihilating supes left and right before he finally rips Homelander’s head off (like he does in the comics). Anything less would be a major disservice to such an iconic and ruthless character like Billy Butcher.

No cap on God fr, I am so mad.

It happened the same during the Season 4 release, many guys out here were just casually passing leaks as their own predictions or guesses for the future.

At first I was pretty shocked to see comments like those because there were no hints in the episodes that could have hinted at stuff so accurately for next episodes.

And then I realized that most of the season 4 was leaked.

Now I am seeing the same happen with Season 5, with many selfish and impatient pricks reading the leaks and thinking that everybody must know about the leaks, and so they just casually keep on passing the leaks as their own predictions.

Please stop the fuck. I hope this post gets pinned or something because it really takes the fun and suspense out this show when you know what going to happen.

Please kill the leaking culture, if you don't want to watch the show, then just don't watch it.... But don't ruin it for others who were waiting for this.

Also we all know the Season 5 so far hasn't been too grand as it was expected, but that still doesn't justify the leaks in general spaces.
