I’ve spent years of trying to force myself to write, come up with a book idea, to try to flesh out the ideas I did have to turn into something greater than it is. Hours spent on the short (VERY short) stories I’ve written trying to turn them into something they’re not.

But it just isn’t working.

I’ve doubted everything. Whether writing is actually something I enjoy, something I’m good at or did I just trick myself into thinking that I could be something and do something that I genuinely cannot do.

Today, I sat down randomly and started to read the love letters and notes I’ve written to my husband, from the time I met him up until now. They’re beautiful. Nostalgic. True. Not forced.

We have a 10 month old baby. I thought wouldn’t it be so nice if I wrote our journey to getting where we are today. Just memories. Before I forget. We do have quite a dramatic story. With a lot of tears and fighting and drama. And a LOT of love and dedication.

I know I will eventually forget these small memories so I thought maybe I could write them down. Maybe my daughter could eventually read and imagine us in our youth.

So for the first time in my life, I just started writing. No plan, no thinking. Just on how I met my husband. The feelings. The chance. How many things have aligned for us to meet each other and how we almost didn’t. And one sitting I wrote 7,000 words uninterrupted. I have never done this.

I have written things longer but it was always forced and never in one sitting.

I don’t know if anything will come of this. If not, at the very base of it I am left with a beautiful book full of my fondest memories. There are no stakes of if I’m writing good enough because I am writing from the heart.

I don’t know, I just really wanted to share that. It made me happy.

I think it’s such a small beautiful detail. When Hannah’s mum FaceTimes Hannah and Hannah says ‘mom they lost’ and her mums reply is ‘it doesn’t matter he’s proud’.

Can you imagine how that must feel for Garrett? A father, who he doesn’t know, being proud of him without ever meeting him. You can see he doesn’t have a strong reaction but he is very mellow in that moment.

Anyway I just thought it was such a nice detail and moment, and a stark difference to the absolute see you next Tuesday that his father is.

I’ve seen some INSANE convos and accusations around Tucker and Jalen.

Now I’m sure that some of it comes from racism, I do not doubt that even the tiniest in the world we live in.

But here’s my problem. Jalen is a BEAUTIFUL beautiful man. He is super masc. you see it in the actor in his promo etc. I think a big issue of what Off campus did was make him seem ‘sweet’ cute and used him as comic relief. Now this went onto people not liking Tucker because of it, because the rest of the guys are insanely masculine, literally ooze out f the vibe of ‘I know I’m the best’ all in different ways but they do. While Tucker is joining the frat and being hazed, nobody really takes him seriously, they treat him like a little brother, so it’s hard to see him as the same level as the other guys.

Now take Tucker out and look at Jalen outside of Off Campus and god damn that man is beautiful.

I don’t know that was my issue with Tucker. I just see him as the little kid, instead of being part of the rest of the guys

And I wish production made Jalen shine better. Given him more depth than he got. Let him show his masculine side, and give him a story line that makes the viewer go ‘….oh fckkk he’s hot’

Is it just me or is Off Campus is and will become a cultural phenomenon of this generation?

I think I haven’t seen a series or a movie become this monumental in a while that is so widespread. It has that something that is special. Like twilight was for the 2010s or Mean Girls for the 2000s I don’t know i just feel like it is kind of going to become an emblem of this period in time representing what we want to see, from no mean girls, to seeing men with nothing but green flags, no destructive behaviour, I don’t know there’s so many aspects that has been done so well, and it’s kind of taking over worldwide.

I’ve seen a few people talk about how fun Buffy used to be season 1 and by the end she kind of is a drag.

As much as I love season 1 Buffy and I wouldve watched her humorous upbeat personality with quirky outfits for much longer. I think her character development is perfect.

It seems genuinely realistic, after the deaths, the slaying, being a young woman who cannot have a normal life normal relationship. After everything she goes through alone, I think her more subdued and serious personality fits so much. It would not be realistic if she kept the attitude she has when she was 16.

Looking for an all inclusive holiday for myself my husband and our 1 year old daughter.

Now I have been on a deep dive, and concluded on the Mitsis hotels being the best for affordable luxury all inclusives

Looking for somewhere we can genuinely enjoy and relax while feeling pampered. Only going for 5 nights mid august. And our baby is super relaxed and vibes with anything we do so it doesn’t have to be insanely kid oriented.

Has anyone had any experiences in these? Or any other reccomendations ?

I know Ikos seems to be the best of the best but it’s definitely not in our price range and there’s a 8000£ difference.
