No ‘cerebral’ high from edibles?

Hey so I’m a pretty experienced smoker, but have recently acquired edibles for the first time. I’ve been experimenting with different doses and I have a question.

When I smoke, I get completely immersed in what I’m doing, whether it’s a movie, game, music etc. like, I feel like I’m totally in the world and I forget about my ‘self’.

However, with edibles, I don’t even get a hint of that. I’ve had quite high doses (I can’t tell you a number because they aren’t labeled), and I get verrry tired, loose and relaxed - kind of similar to being drunk. BUT, there’s none of the ‘head’ high. I’m still completely aware, still myself, don’t find anything particularly interesting or funny that I wouldn’t find interesting or funny when I’m sober. I just feel heavy and relaxed. It’s not a bad feeling, but I miss the sense of wonder and mind bending thoughts I get when I smoke.

Is this standard for edibles?

Immersive games set in Ancient cities (other than Assassin’s Creed)

I want to feel like I’m really there. The more immersive the better. By ancient I mean anything before ~500CE

Nothing worse than 1 point into dex or a 1% damage increase. Just looking for a game that really makes you look forward to and enjoy levelling up. Maybe it’s a game-changing ability or you finally hit the level requirement to use a piece of amazing gear that allows you to take on a new enemy or area.

And unless you think there’s a good reason for it, please don’t suggest games with scaling enemies/areas: it often completely negates the feeling of getting more powerful if the enemies are also getting more powerful when you level up.

Call me shallow but I’ve realised over the years that nothing is more fun for me than the dopamine rush of getting loot, loot, and more loot to create the perfect build. Especially randomised loot with random modifiers that change the way you play.

Already played and enjoyed:

* Diablo series

* Path of Exile

* Titan Quest

* Nioh series (and pretty much all other soulslikes)

* Division series

* Elder Scrolls series

* Warframe

* Borderlands

PS5 only please
