Took several attempts to get this right. Biggest issue was the mask, the bottom point would repeatedly fail to adhere to the supports and fall off before I could connect to the rest of the print. You can see some of those failures include in the images.
Also, I ran out of blue filament during the last print, so we got a bit of a composite. He just picked up the red bomb power up that's all.
Had to take some creative liberties on the jetpack, since we don't have a high quality render of it. I think it came out well, curious to hear your thoughts.
Apple for scale.
Last image I included some of my 1000% scale bionicle 3D prints for fun.
All 3d printed. Added eggs for scale. Black/white Fikou is 500% scale.
For this model, supports could easily be generated from behind or the sides to reach every overhang. However it insists in generating towards the front of the print, and getting cut off by the build volume.
I've attempted support blockers, however those only impact the surfaces of the model itself, and blocks supports from attaching to it. It doesn't block where the supports are generated on the build plate itself.
I tried adding extra geometry to the bed to try and prevent supports from generating there, however the supports just generate further out into the void outside the build plate.
I've been trying for hours. Is there another option to allow me to define where on the build plate tree supports will generate on the build plate, or rather, block where they shouldn't?
