I have a scheduled interview soon for a grad geo role for an open pit mine with the HR manager and the senior geo. This will be my first shot at an interview after months of applying, which makes me nervous. I believe I have the skills but I’m awful in interviews.

Hi! I was interviewed for a FIFO mine job in WA, and I’m currently based in Brisbane. Due to the job market, I can’t afford to be picky where to work. Relocation to WA is not feasible right now since wife already have an established career here in brisbane.
The roster for the job is 15:13. I’m not offered the job yet but just checking now what to do just in case. I would like to ask any interstate fifo workers with the same situation. Is it feasible flying in and out coast to coast, time and cost wise? Any specific tips, like what time should I fly back home from work, or when should I fly back to Perth for the start of roster.

I am currently a dependent on a student visa where I am only allowed to work 48 hrs/fortnight even when my partner is on school break (visa condition 8104). Does this visa condition carry over to my bridging visa when we apply for visa 485? I haven’t seen a source to confirm if I will have unrestricted work hours while in bridging visa.
