A Breakdown of Campaign Spending for Anne Mahoney
After a few days of editing, I wanted to present some findings of Anne's campaign spending, through the end of May. As such, this took a lot of working with raw data in order to make it presentable, because there is the human element of spelling errors, variations on company names, and other forms which makes this much harder to quickly analyze.
The first part of this is to show categories of where she spent her money. As Anne has never been mayor, a lot of her expenses are tilted towards her campaigns, which reflects in how money is spent. A lot of this is also based on a digital operation, which includes use of consultants.
The next piece of this is a breakdown in where she spends her money. Recently, it was brought up that she had been spending a lot of money on Uber Eats, which effectively complicates the situation of knowing where she was ordering from, so in this case it lowers the Quincy category a bit. Notably, Woburn tops the list of spending, as there are two printers there that are co-located, where she receives a majority of her materials.
Finally, I was curious as to who she was spending money with. As such, I tallied up the Top 25 vendors, and created the below table to show who was receiving money. Some of these are small-item expenses, while others counted towards more frequent vendors. As such, this provides a good overview of things.
Either way, here is a summary of what is present in her campaign expenditures. If anyone wants access to the raw data, it is accessible online. I did a lot of cleanup to names, addresses, and other areas of the data in order to make it presentable, so what is there is going to be quite different from what is searchable online.
Please let me know if you have any questions, as I would be happy to explain further.

wcvb.comOpen Meeting Law Guide and Educational Materials
Since there is some current interest in the Commonwealth's Open Meeting Law, which will be part of next week's Council agenda, I wanted to post this so that others could read more into what is considered a violation.
Of particular relevance,
>What is the Open Meeting Law complaint procedure?
>Step 1. Filing a Complaint with the Public Body
>Individuals who allege a violation of the Open Meeting Law must first file a complaint with the public body alleged to have violated the OML. The complaint must be filed within 30 days of the date of the violation, or the date the complainant could reasonably have known of the violation. The complaint must be filed on a Complaint Form available on the Attorney General’s website, www.mass.gov/the-open-meeting-law. When filing a complaint with a local public body, the complainant must also file a copy of the complaint with the municipal clerk.
>Step 2. The Public Body’s Response
>Upon receipt, the chair of the public body should distribute copies of the complaint to the members of the public body for their review. The public body has 14 business days from the date of receipt to meet to review the complainant’s allegations, take remedial action if appropriate, notify the complainant of the remedial action, and forward a copy of the complaint and description of the remedial action taken to the complainant. The public body must simultaneously notify the Attorney General that it has responded to the complainant and provide the Attorney General with a copy of the response and a description of any remedial action taken.
The City Council is obligated to respond to all complaints, however that does not necessarily mean that the complaint is valid.
Gurman: Apple will overhaul the AirPods control panel in iOS 27
>Apple to revamp AirPods control and settings panel in iOS 27. Given the recent enhancements to AirPods that let the device recognize head gestures and work as a hearing aid, users have called for an app for managing controls — just like the company offers for the Apple Watch and Vision Pro. I don’t anticipate an AirPods app this year, but Apple has heard the feedback, I’m told. The company is revamping the AirPods settings menu to be more functional, better organized and more streamlined. That should mean the earbuds are easier to manage and major feature options are better highlighted. It will be a noticeable change in iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27.
