Shellac help

Google drive video

I finished a desk easel for my sister and am trying to finish it with shellac. This is my first time using shellac. It is poplar.

I sanded it down to 400 grit and then used a tack cloth from Lowe’s to remove the dust. Then I thinned out the Zinder clear shellac with 190 proof everclear. I used a rolled up cotton cloth as a pad and sanded in between the first couple coats. The most recent several coats have been with the addition of some oil on the pad for polishing.

The finish is looking shinier and looks good from afar but when I actually look from under the light I can see a bunch of inconsistency as shown in the video. How do I got about fixing this?

Thanks!

1 bedroom apartment in buckhead suggestions

I start work around Lenox Park in about a month. I'm looking for a studio or 1 bedroom apartment for around 1600 a month (some wiggle room). It's always disheartening reading the reviews of most places, so I wanted to get some suggestions from people who have lived in the area. Thanks!

Anyone have experience or have any insight on the place?

I'm a new grad starting work in Lenox Park in mid July. I really don't want to commute, but also would like to live somewhere somewhat walkable with things to do around. I toured a few different places and the AMLI flatiron looked really nice and within my price range (~1300 per person for 2br 2bth), but some of the reviews have me worried.

I may be moving in with a friend, but that's still up in the air, so I'm also open to 1bed 1 bath apartments for under 1600.

Any help or other suggestions appreciated!
