Thoughts on Josh Minott?

I feel like the unsung hero of this season was Josh "Why Not" Minott?

I'm not gonna stat-dump his production here, but he was good. That's for sure. And his post-game comments against that Knick game showed me he has that "Brooklyn Grit" that Sean Marks keeps babbling about.

Only 23. Really good defender. Shot well with us. Can play 2-4. I mean, if we don't get Peyton Watson (or another free agent upgrade at the 4), I'd honestly just focus on developing him. Start him too.

The One Thing About Darius Acuff Jr that I Like the Most... Assist-to-Turnover Ratio

He averaged 6.4 assists, and only gave up the rock 2.2 times. And considering his usage rate was near the 30's, that's extremely impressive.

That means he's an elite ball-handler and passer. I can't say the same for any of these other prospects (including the top 3). They might have one or the other, but not both.

I'm still bracing myself for impact, just in case the Clips take Acuff before us, or Brooklyn simply drafts someone else like Mikel Brown Jr.

But regardless, I think Darius Acuff Jr is number 1 on my board. I see the vision now. And judging from this sub and other social media platforms, Nets fans want the same thing.

Him only "talking" in beeps, stops him from being the annoying comic-relief character. And so when he was used in the movie, it was pleasant.

And good on them for making HERBIE practical, instead of him being all CGI, all the time.
