Next summer I’m installing Rear disk brakes, 5 speed trans, 2276 with remote oil filter and possibly AC.
Who can recommend a good engine builder in SoCal, I’m looking for a 2110 or 2276. I’m looking for reliability over power so a lazy 160-185hp and something with revs for 80mph cruising.
Question: should I build a 1915, 2110 or 2276? I’m looking for reliability and over 150hp.
I took the 65 rag back apart to change all the little things like the throttle cable, swap to front disk brakes, twin reservoir master cylinder, new caps e cover gaskets, aluminum crank and alternator pulleys, new 911 headlights, polish paint and glass, clear front signal lights, new mirrors, adjust the clutch, rebuild the carbs, clean the intake manifold, new tires and paint the empi wheels (just wait).
Yesterday I left work and my volume stopped working along with the volume knobs on the steering wheel. The on off function on the volume knob worked but when I twisted the knob the volume wouldn’t go above 0. The steering wheel volume knobs stopped working all together and wouldn’t even register 0 on the center computer. I tried restarting the computer by shutting the truck on and off (letting it completely power down) and also restarting the center screen by holding the volume down and skip to next track buttons on the steering wheel for 5 seconds with no result. Today I dropped it off at Fullerton Ford for this issue and all of the recalls that have been stacking up. This is my only issue in 15k miles so I’m happy with the truck. My wife’s Tahoe RST has already been in the shop twice at 11k miles.
